Off Topic · OT: mets lose! (page 3)

I think any crap Mets fans take after losing is well justified. Why? Because this is a team where the fans get more enjoyment out of the Yankees losing than their own team winning.

I'm a Yankees fan, and I was actually rooting for the Mets to win it all, once the Yankees were out, but I was rooting against their fans. They have the second most annoying fans in baseball (Red Sux are first), but their team is fun to watch and it would've been nice to see a NY team win.

Absolutely not true. No question, there's lots of Mets fans (myself included) who don't root for the Yankees. Hell - there's tons of fans in general that don't root for the Yankees. But the Mets come first - every Mets fan I know is much more concerned with the Mets winning; we've had too many years of suffering and heartbreak. Unlike Yankee fans, however, we don't take winning for granted, nor do we think we're ENTITLED to it, and to be in the playoffs every year. That's what makes YANKEE fans the most annoying in baseball.

Absolutely not true. No question, there's lots of Mets fans (myself included) who don't root for the Yankees. Hell - there's tons of fans in general that don't root for the Yankees.
