hey, headed up to the new stadium in a bit, my first at the new stadium. Go Yanks!
cool. i'm going too. before you head up, make sure the game is still on. they still haven't said anything so i'm guessing they are gonna try and play it (especially with it being an espn game).
The delay was great. I got to explore a little and spent some time in the hard rock cafe. Man i'm dead tired today. A win would have made the day go by a little better. Hughes had 70+ pitches by the end of the third and Lester was getting big outs. Just wasn't our day
best seats imho are still the bleachers. best view of the game for the price and you can stand back there and hang out.
I was in the upper deck 1st base side. There was a sign that read 'watch out for flying bats'. They must have meant the winged variety as we were waaaay up there. Looked like the bleachers were the place to be.

i'm going again tonight. hopefully joba steps up.

Why people insist on otherwise is beyond me.

posada to the dl with a hamstring problem. that hurts. no arod + posada kills the lineup.

Man, plus it's been no Tex all season. Definitely hurts. At least Molina's great on the defensive end.

i can't complain about molina - but last night's passed ball hurt. we could've escaped the first without giving up a run which may have changed the complexion of the game. he doesn't hit so an error like that is even more magnified, especially with a kid on the mound.
the ump last nite was pretty terrible early on... Hughes was trying to hit the corners & the ump wasn't giving him anything close... still, kid's gotta learn how to get guys out when things aren't going his way, but the ump didn't help matters... Lester got our guys out w/tough pitches & challenged hitters... he didn't walk guys, Hughes did... that's the difference.
So, is it time to start shopping Igawa and Kenedy for a starting LF'er?
On a side note, my bud who was in from San Fran says the local buzz is that the fan base wants Bonds back. They could give a crap about the allegations and want his bat back in the line-up
Yankees are a $200 million mediocre team. They suck.
Back to the 8th inning you go Joba.
Yankee killer Jason Bay strikes again... i miss Manny.
JOHNNY BE GOOD! 3 run HR! 4-3 now!
Joba's really throwing well now. I missed the first inning. It's hard to imagine this same guy gave up 4 runs that inning.
Yankees offense has the same trouble as last year. They simply can't drive in runs.
I hate it when you out-hit an opponent but lose
Yankees = suckass sloths.
Yanks re-signed Humberto Sanchez
Yankees have the 28th worst bullpen (ERA-wise) out of 30 teams. They can't continue at this rate if they want to even make the playoffs.

last 2 games were frustrating but so it goes w/ the redsox this year.
hopefully we take the next 2 against tampa and then sweep baltimore.
the offense the past 2 days have been anemic and that puts so much pressure on our young pitchers to be perfect...
