Yankees need to send down Veras when Bruney comes up...this guy is pretty useless. Would've rather seen Robertson or Melancon get more of a shot than watch this guy labor to throw strikes.
tex needs to hand over 1/2 his paycheck to arod...

I'm down with that...he's no big loss and considering how bad he is right now he may accept a demotion

that's probably the only reason he hasn't been sent down yet... they're hoping he can iron out his issues cuz he's still got electric stuff... it's just his control that's terrible... he'll have to clear waivers to be sent down & i think some team will pick him up.
He's 29 years old and has confidence and command issues- some team might get him but its no big loss- I'll trade him for some kind of minor leaguer at this point because we have younger kids who's stuff is just as good (Robertson and Melancon).

It's insane really... He's seeing fastball after fastball with ARod behind him.
Here's another one that walks everybody

i'm not shedding a tear if he gets waived & some other team picks him up but i would hope we at least try & trade him because i think there are teams that would be interested... Melancon is just as eradic so not sure he's much of an upgrade either at this point... i'd rather see what Kroenke can give us first cuz he's been lights out at AAA.

Melancon only had 3 appearances...he wasn't great but I'd like to see him get a shot at taking his lumps because he was absolutely lights out in the minors and has closer potential. Robertson is another guy that has insane K rates- we're talking about 12 K's per 9. Both of them have the performance and pedigree to get their shots before they move down to someone like Kroenke, though Kroenke should get a look at some point.
Either way Bruney will be back up soon and someone will have to go. And at this point it absolutely cannot be Aceves.
Edwar Ramirez & Jose Veras - what a duo.
Edwar gives up a dinger....I thought Swisher had a play on it.
You look at Edwar's change and its as good as that guy Mark DiFelice on the Brewers- he should be having more success
This is a huge spot for Coke....Morneau is hitting .600 this series with 3HR and he's the tying run. And Coke has not done well lately.
that ball went out in a hurry, Swisher didn't have a chance unless he was playing Span on the warning track, & even then it was a couple rows over the wall... not sure Swish woulda caught that even if he'd been there in time.
Edwar & Veras seriously need to get sent back down, right now neither of them have any command of their pitches... we should use Tomko & call up Kroenke until Bruney is ready to come back.
Phil Coke throws like a young Alan Embree.
Where the hell was that pitch Hirschbeck?!?! you were calling that a strike earlier to our hitters!
