There was just no logic in pulling a guy who just got 2 easy outs....wasn't even a righty/lefty thing. Nothing.

There wasn't even any logic in pulling Rivera just so Cervelli's "big bat" could get in the game with 2 outs and no one on like I said during the game.
Rivera should have been pitching the 11th with Robertson pitching the 12th and 13th. We shouldn't have needed Aceves until the 14th inning.

Robertson had 63 Ks in 43 innings this season. Robertson's developed into a stopper, Ace is a middle reliever, a guy you look to for some length. End of story. There may have very well been a spot for Aceves in this game, but that sure as hell wasn't it. I mean Joe did Anaheim a fucking favor there for Christ's sake...Mind-boggling to say the least. Over-managing to the Nth degree. Gotta forget this mess & go get 'em tomorrow. The team should try and rally around this Girardi mistake - use it as motivation because as some of you guys already mentioned, he's gonna get roasted in tomorrow's papers and on talk radio. Absolutely fried. Bank on it. And he deserves it. But if I'm a guy like Jeter, the team's captain, Girardi getting killed would bother me, obvious mistake and all. Jeter needs to rally the troops. Team needs to rally around their coach and pick him up tomorrow. I actually feel terrible for Joe - he did what he felt was right, for whatever reasons. You know the poor guy probably feels like hanging himself right now. SO friggin' weird though - you figure the guy would have a better feel for his personnel by now, esp. his bullpen. He's just over-manging the shit outta that bullpen boy..
