Every freaking Indians leadoff batter gets on.
I don't think they escape giving up another leadoff walk.
Hopefully Lofton does something stupid.
This baby is over. Maybe next year unless they start hitting which I highly doubt. The Yankees no longer have fun playing in the post season. all the batters just shyt bricks out there.
I don't think it's over, just because they can handle Westbrook and Byrd, especially at the Stadium. But coming back to win a game 5 is going to be tough.

MayRod sucks.
Go get your $30M somewhere else.
Biggest bust in NYC sports history!!!
he still can do some damge in the playoffs.
Yeah, but after four seasons, when's he going to start?

Posada and Matsui have been completely useless this series.
Throw in MayRod's o-fers and they don't deserve to win this series.
Matsui is hurting. Posada's always been a no show in the playoffs. When the last big hit he's had?
The bugs were insane. They seemed to be more attrated to Joba.
1. the carryover yankee magic from 96-00 is all but gone
2. the yankees are not that good a team
3. this is the type of game we used to win
pettite pitches an amazing game - what we brought him back for.
joba gets thrown into the fire - pitches well, then the bugs (unreal).
arod has a career defining postseason at bat in the 9th and strikes out (again).
i never was a huge posada guy - he's losing alot behind the plate - that error to first was inexcusable.
we're going back to the bronx where we have no idea what we're gonna get from clemens or who's gonna pitch game 4. we can still come back, but i don't think ANY yankee fan believes this is like our 2000/01 team coming back against oakland.
hey, some guys just aren't built for the postseason - arod may be one of those guys.
meanwhile guys like ortiz and manny live for the playoffs.

this post sums up my feelings.
Jeter/mo and pettite are great champions, but they need help.
Matsui is garbage at this point
posada has never been that great in postseason
the kids are doing well, joba and melky
A-rod is a playoff head case.
manny and ortiz are the type of playoff leaders we need to play with jeter
I can't see us comming back. cleveland has dominated our hitters. this is not the 2001/01 team, not the same players, we have guys like damon and mastusi , those guys are declining talent and just can't get it done. Season is over as far as I am concerned... we used to win the close games, now we seem to find ways to lose them all..
time to start purging some of these position players...

yea, wtf was that? There was no reason for him to throw that high.
We're down but not out. We won six in a row earlier this year against Cleveland. Winning 3 in a row is not impossible.
they have 2 bad pitchers going for game 3 and 4. but again, we don't know what we're gonna get from out guys either.
I'm actually pretty confident that we win games 3 and 4.
It's game 5 that I doubt they win. Although Sabathia doesn't scare me nearly as much as the media things he should. Carmona would scare me much more.
The Yankees are playing scared and you can tell they aren't having fun being in the playoffs. You guys watching what I'm watching the batters are scared shytless. The pressure has got to them and only way to get it off is to have fun playing the game. I hate to say this but they are the only team in the playoffs who don't want to be in the playoffs. I call this the Atlanta Brave syndrome. They need to stop living off their past success and treat this playoff like a totally seperate entity. They need to realize that they haven't accomplished shyt in the last 7-8 years.
hopefully the bronx will pick these guys up. really nothing to say except everything -- absolutely everything -- that can go wrong has gone wrong for the yankees.
are you FING kidding me with that run in the 8th!!! walk on 4 pitches, passed ball, bunt, passed ball scores the tying run in that game? and then we get two more scoreless innings from mo.
say what you want about arod in the 9th but jeter struck out that inning. it was big shot bob abreu who was hustling to first base and then stole 2nd and made plays. we need more guys like abreu.
i agree, matsui looks horrible and hasn't showed up in a while. neither has posada.
i think we can force a game 5 (pitching wang, at home, game 4) and give andy another shot at these cowards.
come on people this is the yankees where is the faith? cleveland has gotten VERY lucky in these first 2 games. if lofton doesn't get those first 2out RBI in gm 1 and posada singles off that 3-0 pitch this could be an entirely different series. there's a reason why its best of 5 and not best of 3, lets get this back to cleveland without these bugs and all this other crap and get to the alcs and boston

Yes they are the Yankees and that is what the problem is because they are the Yankees they think they are entitled to win championships without actually playing hard. For some reason teams are just suppose to roll over and die because its the Yankees. Haven't they realized from the past few years that they have to work at winning games. This is the same old Yanks from the last few years. They want to turn this around then start working the pitchers and run the bases every chance you get because lets face it they got nothing to lose who knows they might like playing baseball in October again.
Matsui's earlobes are unreal
vmart you missed the whole point. yes, the yankees haven't looked good, but there were instances in both games where they could've swung the momentum in their favor/win the game but didnt b/c of bizarre circumstances. i think the bronx will turn that mojo around, thats all im saying.
anything happens in game 5s.
