BUCK FOSTON!!!
TMS @ 4/4/2010 8:36 PM
Jorge & Curtis go back to back... nice way to start the new season!
TMS @ 4/4/2010 9:43 PM
Yankee bats slapping Beckett around pretty good & a beautiful double steal to get an extra run by Gardner... CC is dealing so far.

I see what you did there. Very clever.

kam77 @ 4/4/2010 10:59 PM
It doesn't work for every team. Phuck Filadelphia isn't quite as subtle.
TMS @ 4/4/2010 10:59 PM
typical Yankees/Red Sox game... 1 team makes a run & the other responds with a run of their own.

nice debut so far for Curtis Granderson... Chan Ho Park in now... represent!

kam77 @ 4/4/2010 11:00 PM
Chuck Fan Ho Park
kam77 @ 4/4/2010 11:01 PM
Why let go of Wang and give it to Ho?

our bullpen is really doing the job tonight

If Boston actually earns it against our pitchers like they did against CC down 5-1, Beltre with the big hit against Robertson, against Park when they were down 7-5 and then late against Chamberlain, OK, you tip your cap and move on. But that whole Marte vs. Pappi sequence -- that was the ballgame right there. Wild pitch on that sweeping slider and then that pass ball against Posada on that high fastball that he absolutely should've handled (come on Jorgie WTF bro - it wasn't even like he got crossed up - he called fastball outside and it was slightly up & in but CATCHABLE - Jorgie had a great night with the bat but he's always good for a few pass balls like that one that just leave you scratching your head) -- You can't just hand these assholes that 8th run like that, friggin' gift wrapped. Come on now. Hey first game of the season and I'm already pissed. That was a bad loss..Any loss to these pukes is a bad loss.. I wanna see AJ pitch much better in that damn ballpark on Tues.

Wouldnt be the first time we started slowly, but I was really upset with how that gam played out. I guess you never know when you are playing in Fenway.

I wasn't to enthralled with letting go of Coke and making Marte the primary lefty. Marte was amazing in the playoffs but he's been a headscratcher for most of the time he's been here.

TMS @ 4/6/2010 7:17 PM
Marte wasn't making his pitches but that ball that Jorge botched was completely catchable... that is starting to become the norm w/Jorge behind the plate, completely inexplicable passed balls that just pop out of his glove as if his reaction time is way off... even on a cross up you'd expect a major league catcher to catch balls like that.
Finestrg @ 4/6/2010 7:58 PM
This homeplate ump is a F'in D-Bag man. Who is it, Angel Hernandez? FU man. Thames first tries to call time and he doesn't give it, now Jeter. You got a hall of fame shortstop up there pal - if he wants time, you grant it. Case closed. I think Jeter's earned that. Jete actually turned back and said something to Hernandez after he didn't grant it in time before Jete really stepped away, getting Lester's attention mid-motion. Well if you didn't want to grant that, shouldn't that have been a balk on Lester?? Man I'm fired up already boy...
TMS @ 4/6/2010 8:06 PM
as long as he's consistent w/the Red Sux batters i don't have a problem with it... but i agree u figure a HOFer like Jeter would get a Timeout if he asks for it... not like Lester was already starting his windup when he asked for time.

Absolutely. Hey w/o Jorgie's bat in the opener, we take an even worse loss. I wonder if he wears contacts...Seriously he may need them. Or better yet Lasik. Jorgie's still the man - it just pissed me off to no end that we gave them that 8th run...Under the bridge now...And you're right T -- Marte, WTF bro? Come in there and make your friggin' pitches. Go right at Pappi..

TMS @ 4/6/2010 8:16 PM
i don't think it's his vision cuz he has no problem hitting the ball... it's strange
TMS @ 4/6/2010 8:19 PM
ugh... bad location... meatball right down the power zone for a lefty batter.

I know what you mean about Marte VD, although I wasn't as big a fan of Coke's last year as I was the previous season when he threw the ball a lot better...Marte was amazing in the WS and I guess he's the man right now but if he falters, we may have some options from within, starting with Boone Logan. Then I think we take a look at what Wilkins De La Rosa and Wilkins Arias are doing. Those guys could be in the mix -- they were both with the club this spring. I missed seeing both guys. Anyone get a chance to catch a glimpse of either dude this spring?
