Being a pitcher on the Yankees this year is akin to working valet parking in Iraq.
I did get to see Mariano Rivera out to dinner in White Plains the other night which was very cool. Dude is still limping noticably.
Not sure how Pettite can come back, even in 8 weeks. He will need substantial rehab to get his leg back for pitching. Not good.
This could be the most costly 5 game winning streak in Yankee history. Now starting at pitcher for your NY Yankees, with a stellar ERA of 17.89, Ready Freddy Garcia!

We do have the oldest team in the league. Obviously that doesn't explain all the injuries but I'm sure it is a contributing factor.
Hiroki Kuroda and Dewayne Wise stepping up bigtime
Hughes gives up two runs and then shuts the Sox down for the rest of the way. Nice.
Hopefully 2-3-4 in the rotation can carry us for awhile.
3 out of 4 in the Fenway band box! Good deal! A few less errors, and it's a sweep.
Life is good in Yankeeville, despite:
1) injuries
2) Tex and Arod hitting around .250 for half a billion dollars.
3) more injuries
4) inheriting cast-off Phillies
5) some more injuries
Best record in baseball at the break, baby!
I just cannot thank the Phillies enough for sucking so bad this season and for Raul....sooooo cool!
There's nothing better for a Yankee fan (who's not at the Stadium) than listening to homer John Sterling's grand slam calls on the radio!
Life is very good. Is there anyone else in our division? I forget...
Word is that Joba has been hitting 100 on the gun in his rehab outings. Hopefully Qualls & Eppley are sent packing sooner than later.
Ichiro to the Yanks!!!!!!!!!!
Holy crap! Did not see that one coming...saw the news on Facebook.
Watching the press conference now on MLB TV

1-4 with a stolen base. Instant Gardner, just older. Alot.

I think he's just going to be a rental but the guy can still run.

And hey, the Yanks have a nice recent history with Japanese ballplayers... sure miss Godzilla...
See you in 2 months A-ROD
Just when he was getting hot!
Russell, showing some muscle! The boy's finally starting to hit like something other than a double A little leaguer. Hope it lasts.
not too terribly painful, losing a series to the Dead Sox when they're practically irrelevant. Is it me, or is it just weird that you can be in the cellar, behind by double digit games and still be in the hunt for a wild card? SMH
I'm almost glad they won. The Boston media are almost funny to listen to in a sarcastic, pathetic sort of way. I almost feel sorry for Bobby Valentine.
I can't believe the Yankees have only one very dangerous hitter (Cano) and did nothing before the trade deadline. I really have my doubts that Hal and Hank have the passion for winning that George had.

Hey they got the hit machine, Ichiro!
Pretty sure he's hit safely in every game as a Yankee.
