More heroes in action...
WTF was that all about? how do you arrest an EMT driver for rushing to the hospital w/a patient on board? funny how that white EMT driver wasn't the one being arrested or the one who was being choked by that state trooper... so pathetic.
orangeblobman @ 6/2/2009 8:30 PM
deserved everything he got...it's really simple: when police want to pull you over, you pull over. you don't mess around and then try to make them seem like the bad guy. pathetic.

i'm sure you woulda felt the same way if it was your mom inside that ambulence about to die if she doesn't get to the hospital.
Yeah, its really sad how heartless people can be...Orangeblob would fit right in with some of the boys in blue.

Dont even get into it. This is just an anticop thread where handpicked video of a few jerks are used to educate us that a significant percentage of the millions of law enforcement in the country are abusive and racist. Im think that sebstar and TMS should become police officers in order to help show cops how insensitive and cruel they are.

lol. Thats the problem, this clown orangeblob feel the actions of these cops are completely justified and its the fault of the victims, not the cops themselves.
So if he feels like that about indefensible acts, how many more feel like that? And if you feel these are just isolated incidents, then you are being naive as hell. Are all cops bad? No, but there has been way too much condemnable and outright horrific behavior from those that are paid to protect us. I can murder you with links and stories if you want, but I am sure you will just put your head in the sand and blame me somehow. Its easy for you to take this position, when its not your community that is under attack.
And that's typical of your ilk, its always the fault of the agitators and the people who complain, not the fault of the people committing the atrocities.

that's an over-statement if I ever heard one. There is absolutely no way for you to quantify it without a realistic approach and taking account to human error and bad apples, etc. Not in this day and age.

Abnor Louima, Sean Bell, Diallo, Sean Bell, Rodney King, Oscar Grant, the baseball player's son....
Yeah, we can say "human error" if that what makes ourselves feel better, but its a not so hidden secret that racial profiling is hardwired into the DNA of police districts. I know from first hand experience and pretty much everyone else of color is aware. Just is the way it is, I guess, but I'm not trying to hear that this is some sort of exaggerated thing concocted by the black community.

it's clear to me you haven't even read through the thread to be making that assumption... i've made it very clear that this only represents a select few of the bad cops out there that give the good cops a bad rep... but go ahead & keep preaching from atop your soapbox on topics you don't even bother reading before commenting on.
& my advice to you would be to open your eyes & talk to a few minorities that live in urban environments & see how they're treated by some of these pathetically insecure & overcompensating idiots that carry a badge before u pretend to know what they're talking about... it's always good to gain a new perspective... life isn't all about white picket fences & the Milkman.

I think that pretty much sums it up right there TMS:
MOST cops: Just doing their jobs. Filling up their monthly quotas (Which is a pain in the ars for everyone to deal with, of any color) and doing what they can to keep the streets civilized.
However, there definitely are some cops who have some hidden agendas. To say there aren't racist cops out there is ridiculous. Yes, there aren't many, compared to the number of cops that can be described above, but it's that "Just a few" that gives the good cop a bad name, and gives a lot of minorities a hard time. Hence, it's understandable that a lot of minorities will suddenly think that the entire police force is corrupt, when it isn't.
The fact is, for MOST of the police force, it's like every other profession. The only color that matters is green.

I do have a very biased point of view, but Im not defending the cops in this situation. I really wasnt even going to get into this thread because I dont like being put into the position where im defending dudes who are acting like jackasses. I came home pretty banged up yesterday. I deleted the drunk post. Im not trying to provoke anyone
seems like he has the same point of view as i do, so not even sure what this guy's even complaining about.

Fair statement and I know there are a lot of stupid people out there both within and outside of the ranks of the police department. Still doesn't add anything against what I bolded.
Bippity10 @ 6/3/2009 5:18 PM
I am a huge supporter of the police. They keep my neighborhood safe and I know I could not live without them. That being said, when they come to my car door I have both hands on the wheel and do not move. I get my foot as far away from the gas pedal as possible, so I don't make any mistakes and die in a fire storm of bullets when a cop said I tried to run. I don't move. I sweat bullets and I pray to the lord above.
Blob: If you are a blond bombshell you can punch a cop in the face and he will ask for your number. If you are a black male that fits the profile you could be shot for reaching for your license and registration. It's the reality that we live with. Most cops are great and would do anything for you. But enough of them would abuse their power that it does get a lot of people thinking(especially minorities).
I have never committed a crime. I rarely raise my voice. I have one speeding ticket in my life and no other traffic violations. I don't smoke pot, drink socially(never drink and drive) and have been home by 9 most nights since I was 22. I am a "white collar" worker and make a decent yearly wage. Yet for some reason I have been pulled over for a bogus reason at least 10 times in my life(no real explanation from the cop). At 24 I came to a skid stop(going about 10 miles an hour) at a stop sign that had some freshly laid gravel by it. Someone called the cops. They found me at a friends house and roughed me up pretty good when they brought me to the car for questioning. I was then questioned regarding 2 or 3 prior robberies in the town from a few weeks before.
I like TMS and all others support the police. But it's okay for people to post reality on this site without others getting bent out of shape for it.

Do me a favor and dont use this mans death as fodder for your argument. You lack the ability to understand the events that resulted in this mans death so please dont even try. This guy was never on your side. Hes was a cop. He was on our side. So please dont trivialize hise death to support whatever pointless point you are trying to make.

I am a minority that lives in a bronx, born and raised kiddo. I doubt that your life experiences will compare to mine when it relates to this topic. Since you brought it up, how about this friday night, you get off the couch and go check out some of the places that these cops have to patrol, like 1348 Webster avenue, for instance. I you have the balls to go in that building, take the elevator to the top floor and back down, I swear to you that I will never visit this site again. But hey, if you do then you will be able to relate to both the cops and the community that have to do the same on a daily basis
