Jordan Hill was just a terrible pick in so many ways...we could've had a starting PG already (Jennings, Holiday, Lawson, Teague, Maynor, Collison). Oh well Hindsight is 20/20, and Baron Davis is roughly a month away
Don't say I didn't warn the UK family. I played against Jordan Hill in Tucson AZ, and we had to play zone during a pickup game because of their height. I was the low guy in that zone, and had to matchup with him most of the game. He doesn't have a low center of gravity, so I was able to push him around. But heres the glarrying surprise about this story.....I'm barely 6'0 tall 192 lbs. Yes, I'm one of the best defenders in most gyms, but he had almost a foot on me, and looked rather average. I didn't have a good feeling about him ever since. I was hoping he was just clowning around, since the knicks picked him up in the draft a month later. It's obvious he was selected too high.

I give Walsh a Mulligan for that draft. He was having health issues and really seemed unsure about what to do. He sounded like he was let down by his staff who he obviously had to lean on more cuz he was not well versed on the draft class. You could see how much more on top of things he got after that. It happens to the best of them.

man, i hope you're right. i'm not rooting against it.
i actually almost think that any player from NY has to overcome a pretty strong anti-NY bias throughout the league. people in other cities want to see the knicks fail. i don't know what it takes to see NY players get their due.
either way shump is great and it really doesn't matter what 120 sportswriters vote (which will be rubio
)

you could say the same for melo or tyson or amar'e. he's part of the team. and a big important part. geez and gravy, man. we all like iman. it doesn't mean he's won ROY yet. you know, i compared him to Wade somewhat jokingly... but Wade didn't win ROY his first season. Ricky Rubio did.

I can honestly say that Iman plays a KEY role on this team right now. He's not the best player but he's the most important cog in the machine. Minus a healthy Davis, Iman is the most important guy we have. STAT, Melo and Tyson are the stars, but Iman is the straw that stirs the drink. Unless you disagree and want to see TD back in there to prove your position. Oh and by the way Iman had the highest +/- today for the Knicks.

shump is a key player on the team. he's one of the four guys who HAVE to play for the knicks. if amar'e, melo or tyson sat out, i think you'd see a similar hole. i love shumpert. when have i ever said i don't? the team plays better when he's on the floor. he's still not gonna be ROY. but, hey, spree wasn't ROY and neither was wade.

Shump plays well and it helps everyone else play well! He's the key cog. Sure we need our stars for what they do to carry the load, but they can't carry jack without someone to get them the ball and to hold the line at the top of the defense. You just put someone else in there and you notice the gaping hole right away. It can be said that he helps make his teammates better which is a sought after attribute for a lead guard.
