I'm happy for him and screw Woodson the kid would have never had a chance under Woodson.
See ya....can't wait to see him try to guard Melo....then again, guard anyone.

sounding like a hater, but i understand your point, but now it's important to throw the city at Brand

They didn't bring him in to be a great defender. They brought him in to shoot the rock. Screw Amare! why don't he retire. Damn we are stuck and fu(k#d. Hell Woody is susposed to be a great defensive coach? When does he plan the teach the Knicks defense? We need offense and we are stuck. Can't move and can't do trade deals can't do anything.

No hating just having fun.
I like Cope and wish we were able to keep him but going into this off season there was no way possible to keep JR, Prigs and pay Cope.
It pissed me off that he signed with the Pacers but can't blame the man. Would have preferred he play out west but it is what it is.
I think Brand is coming and it won't cost much considering that we don't have much $$$ left.
Either way I wish good luck to Cope as he continues his career but death to the Pacers.

Defense can only be taught to an extent. A player has to commit to defense or at least try.
I'm not giving up on Stat just yet. Amare is a crap defender but you could see he was trying/giving all he had to improve plus he's working with The Dream again to get his low post game on point which was looking great until he went on the shelf Sucks that we're paying him so much but it's not his fault that he's getting paid mega dollars.
Cope can 100% score the rock and could have come back but decided to get paid.

Can't we get a pick or something? Damn it seem every team can wheel and deal but us.

I don't blame Cop one bit. It's his chance to make some money - $6.1 mil over 2 years. More than $2 1/2 mil more than we could pay him. He's a good kid. I wish him well. But not the Pacers.
happy for cope, would have liked to see him stay but he was only here for a little bit and he contributed,
it will be exciting to watch him develop with more playing time

I agree. I'm glad Cope is able to pull in some guaranteed dough, but I don't see his loss as that big of a deal. I never believed Cope was a starter and I never envisioned him olaying major minutes on a healthy playoff squad. He'll probably be able to blend in next to Hibbert better anyway. Cope would've been a nice luxury to have, but we'll survive.

Last time i checked the pacers had no trouble with melo and basically handed us our ass
Chris go buy a nice house for cash and stay away from expensive jewelery and cars!

If Woody would have played him, we would have signed him, I got to believe he was told not to play him . Look how they had to pay Novak after one yr getting much run with good play.
glad for cope. At his age this was his big deal. Cope was a great story and a great guy to root for. I am going to ask uk posters not to make him unlikeable or a guy that you post i told you so stats about.

Wishful thinking. I mean people bash former knicks like gallo and lin even though they di well when they were here. Anyway I think its afir deal for Copeland. The Pacers are gonna be tougher next year with Granger and Cope coming off tge bench giving them another scorer

Let's not LINch this guy agreed...
I'm happy for Cope too, although he was extremely tunnel vision. Maybe it was primarily because of the environment and he understood the business quickly. Probably learned the ropes from Kidd.
Pacers did their homework on him a long time ago but it's going to take them and the rest of the league to catch to what we do and how we do business, thus far no one has figured it out yet.
good for Cope. I agree with Isola who said Ny recruiting pitch should be sign here and we'll make you money elsewhere the next year.
Thought he'd get more than 2 years- makes that Novak deal we gave last season look even worse!
A shame, he seemed like a good player and a nice person, but I think he looks younger than he is and people maybe overestimate his upside as a result. He could just as easily be this years Shawne Williams.
Speaking of which, I hope we sign Shawne Williams as his replacement...

Knicks get a 2nd rd pick back heh who needs picks? Any other team would be looking to get a pick back
Why the Knicks are a complete fail as a franchise is moves like this. The Knicks get enamored with names rather then actual production on the court. What they dont even know and its sad is that if Chris Copeland got Bargs minutes he would put up the exact same if not better numbers then Bargs. Dont believe me check out the per 36's of both players. These r the types of moves that kill this franchise giving up 3 picks and paying 11 million for a player that does the same exact thing but was buried on the bench.
Bargnani Best Season 36 21.6 ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.8 ast, .448 fg%, .345 3pt fg
Copeland 36 20.3 ppg , 5.0 rpg,1.1 ast , .470fg% , .421 3pt%

I don't think you can do the per 36mins projection thing with bench players but it does make you wonder if Bargnani is even better than copeland at that price. It's a shame Woodson didn't give copeland a chance last year when we desperately needed another scorer. At leas we would know if we had a keeper or not. Copeland will benefit greatly from playing for a high IQ young coaching mind like Vogel. Happy for him. Much better situation for him than being stuck in Woodsons doghouse and hazed by his teammates
