No, he just didn't list them. Dwight Howard ($21 mil), Jennings (around $8 mil?), Millsap (around $9 mil?). I'm sure there's more

exactly and there is a reason why this doesn't include them....

Kenyon, Pablo and JR were missing from the list as well.

What, you're just listing players we missed out on?

If the reason is because the Knicks started the offseason with 3.1 mil mmle and vet mini contracts then the bottom four guys should be off the list.

You are always going to have a long list of missed guys if you only have 3.1 mmle to work with. That only gets you one or two players.

no , not really because at the time we really tried to pursue these guys, we already made financial decisions..
and to address JR smith, he would be on this list, because he would be in a different cap slot.. his cap slot put him pretty much at the full MLE...

So the guys on the bottom the Knicks didn't get because they wanted more money.

we knew a lot of these guys would be available before we started making financial decisions... we could have maximized this list, especially with our picks we traded, novak,etc...
for example we could gone after Dj augustine, Austin Daye, livingston, if you add up all of that salary, it is very close to the 3.1 mil, but here is the point, these are all vet min deals, and still would have had our TPMLE... that would have given us two PG's, and a stretch SF in Daye... and all of them are young, even livingston who is only 27.. he can also play a little SG...
Then we could have split that TPMLE on guys like Hollins, Wesley Johnson and Byron Mullens...
that would have given us two more bigs on this team, two PG's and two more shooters... of course given that we had the roster slots.
Pablo is making more than DJ Augustine. That's the main thing I see

we had more options to actually fill our PG and Big man needs... with some players who may not only be better, but younger....

I am probably in the minority but I like Pablo a lot better then Augustine. Not a fan of Augstine's at all so my opinion is a bit biased.

So your point is that the Knicks front office blew it once again.....in other words more on why you think they suck and have not earned your fandom. Or am I missing your meaning?
I prefer Pablo over Augustine because neither will be a knick lifer and Pablo is a better fit. More poise. I just don't get why we gave him an extra 700,000. As evident by this list we overpaid. That's 700,000 that could've been used to sign Udrih who will weigh his decision on money and caliber of team he is joining

Well Grunwald wanted to sign Pablo last year to a multi year deal but Pablo wouldn't sign because he wanted the opportunity to make more money the next season. He still isn't making much but he wouldn't have stayed without the extra money.
You are right. It's not his fault the knicks have to penny pinch
the list shows that a ton of value was picked up on the super cheap
these are all ballers that went for peanuts, amazing
The owners seem to have succeeded in correcting the problem they had with the MLE. Remember how many players that were mediocre used to get the full MLE and now there are far fewer guys getting that kind of money. There's a greater gap between the top tier players and the rest of the league. Now teams pay top dollar for the top talent and peanuts for the rest of the players on their teams. Before this CBA teams kept making bad full MLE signings for players that weren't really worth that money. Now they've saved themselves from making that mistake by legislating it out as an option for many teams like the Knicks. The owners know that they are their own worst enemy. If given the option they'd use it.
