I bet you could sing the Star Spangled Banner better than Vin Baker.

Sources tell @Chris_Broussard that the #Knicks & LAC have talked internally about a Melo-for-Griffin

It makes sense but it is Broussard.

I wanna see what Jeremy Tyler can do first. Kid has a shot at bringing compatible numbers
Silverfuel @ 1/4/2014 6:26 AM
Blake Griffin and Amare on the same team? With fans like this any good player not Lebron would get run out anyway.
gunsnewing @ 1/4/2014 9:10 AM
We got to cut our losses. Unfortunately we screwed up by trading every asset to get Melo. We wasted his prime years. It's time to move on. The worst thing that we can do is extend Melo for another 5yrs $130 mil into his 30/ as he breaks down
gunsnewing @ 1/4/2014 9:12 AM
Is do Melo and Tyson for Blake and Jordan and their 1st rd pick in this years draft. Maybe another future pick

I'm not crazy about blaze but he is younger and cheaper. Put up 22 and 12 with mo Williams and baron as his PG

gunsnewing @ 1/4/2014 9:16 AM
That gives you Blake, 2014 1st rd pick, Your 2015 1st round pick to add to Shump, THJ, Murray and Tyler.

Who knows maybe we even draft a great PG or C

Or add em with cap space and flexibility in 2015

gunsnewing @ 1/4/2014 9:22 AM
You are not getting Blake for just Melo. Chris Paul likes Tyson. The clips will be better now. They are a now team unlike the Knicks who should be looking towards the future
franco12 @ 1/4/2014 9:28 AM
what am I missing that people are not crazy about Blake Griffin? If we end up with Griffin for Melo and whatever added parts (Chandler, etc), then we've robbed the Clippers. He has 4 years of upside. Melo is what he is, and probably has 1-2 more peak seasons.

This is the kind of trade the knicks would make - trading younger/draft pick for flawed star.

I doubt this has any chance of happening.

Bonn1997 @ 1/4/2014 9:28 AM
I'm pretty sure we'd have to give them picks in this kind of trade

Yea this move would be telling of the direction Mills intends to go in.

In the past as in up to last offseason Dolan would throw in 1 st rd picks like candy

We can trade him to a small market team. With his marketing appeal and locked in years with can get a lottery pick in this draft. We trade him for young assets , be bad in 2015 where we own are pick which surely will be high, we then have a ton of cap room , we have rebuilt. This is the best possible solution for the Knicks unfortunately even if this was put in front of them they wouldnt take it because the franchise is run by Satan

Why would the Clippers be giving up picks, when they are the ones getting older?

EnySpree @ 1/4/2014 9:57 AM

this guy needs to get his shot first before trading Melo for Blake.

gunsnewing @ 1/4/2014 9:58 AM
They won't do that to Melo. I rather get a good Ayer like Blake back the. Rely solely on our drafting ability

To get Tyson and increase their ceiling

As I've told you before, Griffin is good but he can't carry a team on either end and has no guarantee for improvement (see Rasheed Wallace, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, etc.). Melo, on the other hand, can carry a team, well enough. This is the key difference.

Just play Tyler at the 5, which is his projected position anyway. Even if it wasn't, I'd never pass on a sure thing for a "maybe".
