I like Fish's comparison to the Gints; I think they start out slow and get quickly better as things click and the rotations/yoots get settled.
Is that what they said? Why? It seems like an arbitrary number

Yea he said something like it could take 2-4-6-8 weeks. I think he was throwing weeks out. Not sure he or anyone knows an exact date. Learning curve is different for every player and every team. I care more about Melo & Hardaway Jr mastering it then anyone else as they are the ones that have a future with the team.
I expect a very slow start- hopefully that doesn't get us in too big a hole and damage our psyche- Nets seemed to rebound well after a horrific start last season, so it is possible. Even if we stink all year, we have our own pick so there is comfort in that. For me, I want to see a culture established, and I want to see progress.
There are too many poll options, it spreads the results out too much. I think that 3 options: under 15 wins, around 15 wins, and over 15 wins would have been better because you can more easily interpret the results.
I picked 13-17.
Honestly I think the team starts slow then slowly but steadily gets better turning into a .500 or .600 team for the rest of the season. They miss the playoffs but not by a whole lot, ~5 games out?
The important thing is the team establishes some order, players aren't given passes, Phil and Fisher get through to Melo, we dont bungle the 1st round pick and Phil et al use the cap space wisely. If all those things happen we can put together some decent runs in a weakened east 2016 and beyond.

Agreed, with that said under 15
I was thinking 12-30 or 11-19 doesn't make a difference

you may have a point but i can't change it now. also bear in mind that a game or two here and there actually does make a difference in terms of playoffs, playoff seeding, and to a certain extent the lottery.
14-16 wins I give them, I cant tell for sure right now.
17-13. I don't think the struggles will last long if at all. I think this team has the talent to compete in the East and win the Atlantic. With every week of practice I expect the team will get a bit sharper. As others have said it should stabilize as the rotation gets set and they get a bit if a flow going. The chemistry on D will improve as well.
I picked the 13-17 option, as I do believe they will start out slow. Then when the players and even the coach made mention the time it may take, that pretty much confirmed my opinion.
I just prefer they stick to whatever plan they have set and not fall into the mindset of having to get things done individually.
i see no way this team has a winning record after 30, that would be a shock...a pleasant one nonetheless.

You really think we can beat Milwaukee? Or your Hornets twice?
17 - 13 is the place to be fellas. Meld with the light side of the force.

My bad. 2-38. Wins against Detroit & Sacramento
I think it may be pretty ugly for a while and I don't think that's a bad thing. We have a draft pick and virtually no chance of winning the championship this year - lets restock the roster, get rid of albatross contracts like Stat and Bargs and then let's see what PJax and Fisher can build. This is a throw away year - but I will still watch like I always do.
I'd like to be optimistic and say 18-12.
I think if we can play to a faster tempo and really get our own big three going Melo Hardaway and THJ use the two centers as a back drop to reasonably good D and find a chemistry with the rest--we should have the fire power to win a deflated division. We did win 54 games two years ago and we have a very reasonable PG and more pieces again. So I think you have to set your expectations up. I think the Cavs are the elite there are other tough clubs--but I always go with my Uconn mentality--do we have enough to win the game--the answer is yes. If you have enough to win games--if you have the talent--and the d esire is there--we should win a lot of games. We have talent--but we must weed out a chemistry and then stay healthy.
13-17 seems like the ballpark.
