Knicks · Shumpert has been very impressive (page 5)

Yes we need this badly

I would trade with Bobcats[they're struggling]

Shump/J.R./Larkin/2018 1st

4

MKG/Brian Roberts/Gerald Henderson

1st rounder? No way! We need to started considering keeping those.

MKG is a really nice defender though

We should be really good by 2018

If not Phil has failed miserably

The knicks should get the 1st in that deal. That is a lot of bad shooters. Contract Henderson was okay but he has went back to trash. Roberts has range but isn't all that. I guess he is a okay backup/3rd pg. MKG defense is good and his rebounding is too but he isn't all that. Aminu clone.

Not a good trade partner. Besides, they already have Stephenson, they don't need what we have to offer.

What you guys fail to realize there are only a handful

Of defensive 2 guards in this league, the others we have no shot of getting

Butler = HECKS NO

Toney Allen = HECKS NO

Klay Thomspon = HECKS NO

Gordon Hayward = HECKS NO

Avery Bradley = MAYBE[but why]

The trade I posted has pros and cons for both sides

And had MKG not taken that fall at The Garden we'd be sitting at 2-11

Update on Shump....

Shump 1-11 for 3 points -- his counter-part KMART scored the easiest 37 points I've ever seen.

Trade the kid before he hurts himself doing his stupid pre-game routine.

yellowboy90 @ 11/20/2014 3:51 PM
Wesley Matthews will be available in FA. MKG is not a two guard and neither is Gordan Hayward.
H1AND1 @ 11/20/2014 7:18 PM
If the Knicks traded a first for MKG And Gerald Henderson id puke. Henderson is not a good 3 point shooter. And MKG can't shoot period. Teams ignore him on offense. It doesn't matter if the Knicks are good or not in 2018 the point is that good or bad we hold onto our picks to ensure a pipeline of cheap talent to replace guys who leave or who will command a salary that is too high like Shump next year.

F5: It always shocks me when you say you'd want the Knicks to deal that 2018 pick. Very few players out there worth 1st rounders these days.

Shumpert is 4-18 in his last two games.

Shump had multiple gorgeous assists. One thing profoundly different about his game is his driving opening up his passing game. Unlike some players, he plays with his head up which means he can find people open for a good shot or layup while he is penetrating. Because he is playing with a new kind of aggression, he is still figuring out when to take it all the way himself.

This decision making glitch also shows up most games there are at least one or two plays where he is clearly the best option and he passes up a wide open mid-range jumper to give to someone in worse position. I can deal with that since it indicates a team attitude more than a lack of confidence at this point. Shump is improving.
