Do. Not. Trade. The. Pick.
Draft Mudiay or Russell or Winslow or WCS and develop the kid.
Do. Not. Trade. The. Pick.
We will get a good player at 4. One well worth keeping. Trading the pick only makes all this worse.
well ... according to some, you will hear how we can and will get a gazillion picks in return.
There's already a ton of talk about it:
http://www.postingandtoasting.com/2015/5...I can't imagine a realistic trade that would be good for us. If we trade the pick I really think that would be it for my Knicks fandom.
You must not know how depleted the Knicks are of talents! If Russell,Towns, and Okafor are not on the board, trade the freaking pick

If we trade the pick down--we must value it as we have the number 1 pick. Nothing less than 2 #1 back even to move down 2-3 slots.

holfresh did you watch the nBA tonight? Kaminsky would have high value. How many 4's can do what Kaminsky can do? He shoots the 3ball can drive post and shoot--Im sorry but hes more valuable than people think.
It is time for the Knicks to talk up Stein, Winslow, and Mudiay. I would say Mudiay had the best workout ever and claim he is the next Jordan and that the want him over Russell all the while praying someone ahead of them bite the bullet.

ooooooh kgb style ... I like it
I agree. Tonight was disappointing but the Knicks need to get a young talented player.
The Knicks only trade the pick if they get a great deal. Not a so so deal. Why would they trade out unless it really benefitted them in a big way? I don't know if any of the teams behind us are that hot for a specific player in the 4-8 range. The only real trade partner is Boston. Who do they really want in this draft? Would it even be a good deal for the Knicks to drop all the way to #16 and #28 plus maybe a 2nd rd pick.

that would be a tremendously awful trade.

That would be a disaster.

The Kaminsky move is starting to look better..
The Knicks should absolutely walk out of this draft with Mudiay, Russell or Winslow. Whoever they think is best. Two of those three guys will be available when the Knicks pick.
I'm starting to warm to the idea of taking Mudiay. I love Russell and hope he drops, but I'm intrigued with Mudiay.
They will suck for a long time regardless... so I cannot see a big diff.
Its a lottery. Who knows who will be a stud a who will be a bust?

That's about how I am feeling: Hoping Russell drops, but starting to check out Mudiay and seeing tons of potential.
Now if we could just trade Melo to Lakers and also snag Towns...it would be a dream come true.
Agree. Do not trade the pick.
PhilinLA wrote:Agree. Do not trade the pick.I think keeping options open as of now is the smartest move. If we consider some teams might think Mudiay is a top 2 pick--can we do BETTER cumulatively in a multi asset trade?
Knowing our luck, if we tried trading down we'd either end up draft a player for another team and have the trade collapse, leaving us stuck with a player we didn't want.
I want Phil to trade the pick just so I can be done with this franchise - the owner deserves more ill to befall the franchise.
They are already talking about how this player they pick will be complementary to our 30 year old, already breaking down, never out of the second round all star.
Great.
