...who can each carry this team on a given night.
Last four games:
Win vs the Pelicans - Melo 29pts 13rebs
Win vs the Hornets - KP 29pts 11rebs
Win vs the Thunder - Melo 25pts 5reb
Win vs the Rockets - KP 24pts 14reb 7blks
WE HAVE TWO STARS.
No need to pick one or the other - it's wonderful to have two stars.
Fisher and the rest of the team are playing great, too. Afflalo adds a new dimension on offense. I like this team a whole heck of a lot.
I think KP is the better all around player. Kid can excel on both ends of the floor which is rare.
Best Knicks team I have seen in a while

I think he is, too.
But not my point.
Last night KP had 7pts 6rebs and struggled against Ibaka (who is a great defender)... Melo was there to score 25pts. Tonight Melo was tired and plagued by foul trouble. KP was there to score 24pts and dominate on D.
It's nice to have the balance of two stars is my point.
Hand the reins to KP, he's more efficient offensively.
Overall, he's already the best player on the team

The fact that we are here in game 14 of KP's career is astounding to me.

If Melo doesn't break out of his shooting woes then it will be close like it is now. I just like the fact that they are both doing well on both sides of the ball.
Melo is holding players 14.5% below their avg. I think players are shooting somewhere in the 35-39% range against him.
KP is like Walt says up and down on both sides but he seems to never play back to back bad games.
If they can both keep this up Im guessing there will be some stars or rising stars out there who will say to themselves that they could be the third player in a Knicks "big three". Free agency should be interesting.

Forget that fake defensive Stat, Melo had 0 assists and 3 turnovers. 5 fouls in 23 minutes
He had no legs tonight at all. He should sit the back end of back to backs

KP had 7pts 6rebs last night and was schooled by Ibaka.
THE POINT IS IT IS NICE TO HAVE TWO STARS, so one can pick up the other.
Even dirk didnt do anything close to this his first year

Do you know what efficiency means?

Yup, do you? Look at KP's box score for tonight for a definition

Knickname can not be compared to anyone. Heck people are having a hard enough time giving him a good nickname.
Yes, it's true but there is no need to polarize one over the other. KP and melo are great and they play together, I hope this win would further improve their synergy and of the team as a whole. Afflalo has also had key contributions and I hope Fischer figures out a way to utilize DWill and KoQ and that these guys get inspired as well.
Kinetic Potential 6!
Four in a row, two straight on road, 8-6, undeniable defense and some of you guys are spending the glow of the post game on knocking Melo.
Look in the mirror fellas, look in the mirror.

Yes, Melo should. He should've sat out tonight
