the fact that you want him traded so bad, you lose a ton of cred because some of the propose trades, are not well thought out, and are just herky jerky moves, and it wouldnt solve one single real issue.

No. I get frustrated when Melo is blamed for things that are beyond his control (i.e. not drawing marquee free agents to a team that only has the mid level exception to offer) or for not doing things none of his peers are doing. The fact that the cba, nys and nyc income tax also handicap what the Knicks should do is a factor as well.

Maybe blame is the wrong word. Inability to do things that his peers don't have the ability to do as well would be a better use of words.

I dont know if anyone saw this, but when Melo was being heckled last night about how bad the team was, (blacked out in my area) he told a fan to talk to Dolan.

Melo knows what kind of owner Dolan is about even the slightest criticism by his employees. It was just an offhand remark, but it seems almost like a shot across the bow. Im sure Dolan's people relayed this info him, will be interesting to see how Dolan responds, if at all.

He can't shoot anymore, but he leads the team in scoring.
He's old and is breaking down physically but leads the team in rebounds.

This that the other thing. If you put Lebron on a team with 4 D league players hes going to win 50 games. Carmelo is on a team with a legit C and a bunch of vets --same thing w e had 5 years ago and we stink. We stink with Carmelo--thats the answer--were not a good team. The style of play on both ends is one of the worst in the NBA. The only way to rectify this is by trading him for a multitude of assets and starting from a new base. Putting mediocre on top of medicare doesnt = winner. If this team spends 20mm a year and over pay Mike Conley we still wont win 41 games.

You started it with your comment about Melo not bringing in free agents. In this cba no one is bringing in the free agents that I am aware of. A marquee organization landed the one marquee free agent that left. Calling Melo out for doing something no other individual player is able to do is what I take an issue with.

No. I get frustrated when Melo is blamed for things that are beyond his control (i.e. not drawing marquee free agents to a team that only has the mid level exception to offer) or for not doing things none of his peers are doing. The fact that the cba, nys and nyc income tax also handicap what the Knicks should do is a factor as well.
