Melo should talk with Phil about it if he feel like.
It is Melo problem not Phil, and not Knicks.
As Phil rightly mentioned there is little difference if Melo will stay or go.
We suck and will suck for another 2-3 years and Melo will be gone or done by then regardless.
So why bother?

Maybe blame is the wrong word. Inability to do things that his peers don't have the ability to do as well would be a better use of words.

Melo knows what kind of owner Dolan is about even the slightest criticism by his employees. It was just an offhand remark, but it seems almost like a shot across the bow. Im sure Dolan's people relayed this info him, will be interesting to see how Dolan responds, if at all.

Are you watching the game? Just curious. Do You think that the other 13 players on the squad are just invisible to NBA players? Who the Hell would want to play with that garbage? I do hope Melo leaves so all of you are drowned in misery. Funny how when KP is asked about Melo he realizes what he will be left with if Melo leaves. Not a pretty picture for him. But all you high IQ basketball guys know better.
What's our record again when Melo--that-player-you-give-props-to-BUT-- doesn't play? I forget. Does he really have to be traded to see how much more we suck without him?
He's a ball stopper, but he leads the team in assists.
He can't shoot anymore, but he leads the team in scoring.
He's old and is breaking down physically but leads the team in rebounds.
Meanwhile everyone's Melo antivenom, KP, has hit the rookie wall big time. And as was stated, even KP, the team's Mr. High BBIQ, knows the worth of Melo.

This that the other thing. If you put Lebron on a team with 4 D league players hes going to win 50 games. Carmelo is on a team with a legit C and a bunch of vets --same thing w e had 5 years ago and we stink. We stink with Carmelo--thats the answer--were not a good team. The style of play on both ends is one of the worst in the NBA. The only way to rectify this is by trading him for a multitude of assets and starting from a new base. Putting mediocre on top of medicare doesnt = winner. If this team spends 20mm a year and over pay Mike Conley we still wont win 41 games.
