Not sure there is a player in the league I trade KP for. Despite some idiotic threads he's untouchable. Knicks have NEVER traded a player like KP in the past. Trading picks is not the same.
Rescind the offers to Lee & Jennings, Trade KP for Russell. I think that works, math wise, or close to it.

I don't think we should keep forcing him to gain weight and become a center. Dirk had been a 4 his whole career. Even now that he lost several steps. Tim Duncan played the 4 for 35 years in San Antonio. KP'S length and athleticism is what makes him original. He can't lose that to exclusively play center. We need him to keep his unicorn status. We should always start him next to a real center. Throughout the course of a game he can slide over for stints...
IMO KP has immense upside. He is still growing into his gigantic frame. No one his size should be as fluid as he is. Westbrook is highly reliant on his athletic ability. I do not believe he will be able to keep up this level of output for as long as we would like. KP has his entire career ahead of him and I would not be in a hurry to move him.
KP is in the best situation... no pressure to be a 20 point scorer. No pressure to do anything. Rose and Melo set the table. Noah and Lee are ball movers. KP is set up to clean up all over the court. That's what he needs to do. While everyone is battling to stop Rose and contain Melo... KP is going to run wild in the offense. Noah is going to be there to protect him too. When someone wants to try to get in his head, Noah is like Oakley in that regard.

I'm so excited for KP to be able to Unicorn it up on this team. He'll have a lot of freedom to roam, which is perfect for him. Find the seams that the pressence of Melo, Rose, Jennings create. Catch some nice passes from Noah and Rose and Jennings and even Dad Melo.
I question any Knicks fan who would trade KP for anything. This is a gift and we must treasure this opportunity to have a franchise player for his whole career.

Lets face it, though, it ultimately comes down to where he is most effective and efficient as a player.
KP recently talked about improving his handle, and mentioned how he wants to be able to take the bigger/slower guys outside and exploit them, but also be able to punish a smaller defender in the post.
He would end up being a kind of hybrid center on offense, but he needs to be able to shoot about 65-70% in the post when guarded by a smaller player, IMO.

Its a good chat. Nobody is trading KP. This just doesn't happen. He's a franchise talent. They don't get traded except for other clear franchise talent (CWebb for Penny).
But I guess since we once traded Gallinari anything is possible!
