Knicks · I like Hornacek okay... but this is two different NBA jobs where he has had players completely quit on him. (page 1)

crzymdups @ 1/9/2017 10:46 PM
The Suns, the Morris brothers revolted, threw towels at him.

Now word is Derrick Rose has just left the team and gone back to Chicago.

This is not a great sign.

Again, I do sort of like Hornacek from what I've seen. But I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Rose has left the team. Word is he went home to Chicago. The Morris brothers cursed out Hornacek on the floor and threw towels at him.

Not a great sign.

Will Phil Jackson say words? Tweets? Anything?

This maybe worse than the Marbury/MDA thing..

I have been watching the NBA since the 80's and i have never in my life seen a player (a star player) just not show up for a game, no call, no show.

this is wrong in everyway imaginable, and i have strong feeling he's done as a knick

Stuff goes down here you just don't see anywhere else in the NBA with consistency..

Don Nelson used to coach drunk..
JVG and Grunfeld big fight..
JVG quit 11 games in..
Strickland said Pitino told him he could never start in this league then traded him for seemingly 40 year old Mo Cheeks..
Isiah era
Annucha..
Marbury..
Don Cheney got escorted out the Garden..
LB tirade
MDA quits
Donnie made his or else demand..
Woodson winning then run out of town
Phil insist on the triangle from the GM box..
Fisher fight with Matt Barnes at ex wife's house..
Fisher gets canned..
Makes Rambis DC
Rose MIA

Yeah you can't make it up. I didn't know about Nelson though. A buddy of mine covered Nelson when he coached the Warriors and was invited to dinner at his house to do the interview he had to do. He had a lot of great things to say about Nellie, that the press loved him, he helped guys in the press out, let them stay at his vacation estate etc. His biggest memory from the dinner with Nellie was that Popovich was there and didn't talk the entire two hours he was there.

Sounds like the chapters to a book that would sell millions on day 1

Morris situation was on management I thought.

It's unreal. I feel like it is mostly Dolan, though some of the stuff you've mentioned is even pre-Dolan. We're a league-wide joke.

The LeBron gear up, head fake then ultimate letdown...

I really thought we had turned a corner with KP. He has so much potential and with some quality players around him it should've been easy to put a decent season together. It's not like the Knicks are way out of the playoff race. All they had to do is just be DECENT NOT GREAT! Just be a decent NBA team. Can't even do that!!! SMDH!

I just keep reminding myself that we have our draft picks. It's the only thing I've got to hold onto at this point.

I hope to god they don't fucking trade the draft picks. I might just pack up and go home like Rose if they trade another first round pick to try to save the season...

keep the faith. Our future is in good hands with KP. Truthfully i wanted another high pick anyway especially a point guard which are heavy in this draft

Yep, there was so much to be hopeful about after that first few weeks of the season but in typical Knicks fashion it has all come crashing down around us. Question: where the fuck is the man being paid A MILLION $ A MONTH? On a night like this as far as I'm aware he is completely AWOL too! Where is any accountability whatsoever in this ball club? Its just a circus. What an example to be setting to our young guns like KP, Kuz and Baker; our franchise player ejected 3 times this season, our all star point guard paid $20 million a year not bothering to turn up or notify management, a complete lack of discipline in virtually every game in our defensive play etc.

Its just unbelievable and its time for some serious change, not lip service, real change. For different reasons but we need to clear the decks of Rose and Melo. And rebuild with younger, faster, hungry players who want to be coached and to learn good habits and team ethics. The opportunity is there right now to do that.

At one time or another, we featured the corpses of Mo Cheeks, Kiki Vanderweigh, Ro Blackman, LJ, Xavier McDaniel, Baron Davis, Mike Bibby, Penny Haradway, Antonio McDyss, Tracy McGrady, Jason Kidd, Weed, Stevie Franchise..

Not fair to lump LJ in there - he wasn't the same player post-injury, but he played his heart out and got this team to the damn Finals.
