They traded Korver in January and started starting Tim.
In February - He's averaging 20ppg on 50% shooting, 40% from 3pt, with 4rebs and 3ast.
He's in his third year in the league.

I will agree with you here. Nearly all of Phil's mistakes have been obvious with foresight, not just hindsight. This wasn't one of them, though. TH JR wasn't playing well and we got a 1st round pick (who would have more years ahead on a rookie contract).

You can do that work for me if you'd like. But yes, I have said it from day one that Grant was over rated and THJ had more promise. And that the Knicks do what they do and blow things up with no patience or care for continuity. Have also been vocal about Phil coming in and wanting "his type of players" after 37 win season and ignoring a 54 win season for the desire to prove his style is the best ever. Even without the top 3 players of all time.

Phil is going to make mistakes. However he's added good young players and is the best we have had in years. Once the Melo noise clears Phil could be a draft or two away from rebuilding this franchise for a decade. I mean imagine if we land a guy like Ball or Fultz and he Willy/KP are the foundation of a good team. I wonder if people will be crying about THjr or how Phil was a douche to Melo then.
Big picture.
Blind hope? Maybe, but I see us as being halfway there. A good GM works with his mistakes. Getting guys to get Melo back into the playoffs was a mistake. If we can land another building block (or two!) in this draft than I am happy. We have not had a GM like that. I have hope for this one based on what I have seen.

Well it's pretty easy to scream Phil hate or Isiah every time I post anything, which you do...Terrance Ross is a guy who comes to mind that goes on binges from time to time who hasn't really shown any consistency as a player...This is Tim's first opportunity to play his game and getting consistent minutes...He has always had a first quick step and had a quick release...Now he has added the better handle and can go ISO and get in the lane...So he has been playing better than average or better than anyone on our bench...You are dismissing like 5/6 productive players traded for nothing or bad returns as Phil hate...Even you can see it's adding up....

Yep. The thing that still mystifies me is that if we were committed to going Triangle, Hardaway makes so much more sense as a Triangle piece than Jerian Grant.
It does make me wonder if there was something to those rumors about Fisher and Hardaway's girlfriend. Hardaway was traded before the Matt Barnes incident happened... could've been something the Garden was just trying to hush.
Anyway, it's neither here nor there, but he's a quality piece that could be one of three good young starters on the team in KP, Willy, and Hardaway. Add a young PG to that mix this year and all the sudden we have a good young group.

Truthfully Atlanta has a wonderful player development program. Coach Budenholzer is from the San Antonio / Pop program and it shows.
Look what they did with DeMarre Carroll and Kent Bazemore. Bazemore was essentially Justin Holiday when they got him and they've worked with him to turn him into a guy capable of getting 20pts and locking down the opposing wing. Holiday has that potential... but I sort of doubt it gets developed here.
Same with Hardaway - he was oozing potential, but sort of stalled in his second year and picked up bad habits. Atlanta had to break him down and build him up again and they've seemingly done a great job.
I think the real issue we often have is player development. I don't know how you install that, but I was hoping Phil did better with it. They've done a good job with Willy and KP, but even KP keeps making the same mistakes that don't seem to be corrected.
