Knicks · trade Porzingis for future picks (page 5)

One fan of a thread does not constitute the base. I'd say Triple wants to have a discussion than it being a bonafide position.
Knick fans are starphuchers and play on broadway. The team does real well at the gate because of this. If winning is important he'll stay with the rebuild.
If not, I'll never see a chip in my lifetime again.

Correct. This thread doesn't speak for the entire base. But there's a component of the base that simply cares more for instant gratification and seem to value first round exits higher than long term plans. For the most part these people can't or won't acknowledge that we are actually building the team from ground up and we are two-fifths of the way there under Phil who had one stinking first round pick to use in his 3 years. We also have a supporting cast of decent role players and you can make the case for keeping Lee which would mean we are three-fifths of the way there.
All this bitching about undermining the coach, and going to the media and this thread is basically NOISE. I think Hei Hei should really go peck rocks 😃

Sorry to offend your sensabilities...people actually make fun of Knick fans because they think they have a great team every year aND that they just need1 more piece, when in reality the teams are a mess. The fans cheer the trading of draft picks for bad contracts because knick fans overvalued the players on the team. Kp will be good, but it's foolish to think he's priceless. Why not explore what you can get for him? I don't understand outrage when you don't even know the other side of the equation. This close mindedness also has me disappointed in the fan base.

This thread is actually the opposite of instant gratification. But sure the team is about to turn the corner...just like the last 15 years...

No one has suggested the team is about to turn the corner. There was optimism back when the team got off to a decent start but let's keep that in perspective. Even at 14-10 no one was saying this team was a contender! Just that they had a chance to make the playoffs and possibly make the 2nd rd. That's not that out of control given the way the team looked.
NOW the general opinion is that the team needs to rebuild thru the draft with KP at the heart of it. We've got to see what happens in this draft and summer moves before even considering the notion of trading KP. It's just WAY too early.

Apology accepted.
So what kind of trades should we be considering?? What wall of conceptual alternative awesomeness that can provide the enlightenment you speak of?
Do tell us of this vision you have!!!

I'd see what other teams would offer and consider what I thought Porzingis was worth by the end of next season. We'd have to see what impact players are in the draft at that time as well as what players teams are willing to trade and their contracts. But I guess Porzingis is like Lebron or Jordan to you and there is no price for which he should be traded. He loves playing here and would never ever leave the Knicks right? Maybe if your valuation of Prozingis is up there as a Knicks fan(to you infinite) but around the league his valuation is a shade lower, you might be overvaluing him(Oh crap, I offended you again).
Can't believe posters even entertain this garbage.
