Besides the fact I am not convinced of Jackson's game translating to a superstar how about his off court behavior?/
He was charged with criminal damage to property of less than $1,000, a misdemeanor, for his role in damaging a car outside of a bar in Lawrence, Kansas. An affidavit released in March provided details of the incident, including the allegation that Jackson threatened to beat the woman whose car he damaged.

The incident in December began inside the bar when Calvert threw a drink at her ex-boyfriend, Lagerald Vick, another Kansas player. She said she was upset because Vick attended the party with his new girlfriend.
Calver[t] told police Jackson followed her to her car and "was yelling for her to get out of the car and that he would beat her ass," the affidavit says.

The affidavit said the bumper, grille, fender, windshield, left tail lamp assembly and driver's side front door were all damaged, with a total repair cost of about $3,150. Witnesses reported Jackson only damaging the door and tail light, with an estimated damage of $1,127, and District Attorney Charles Branson said Jackson was not charged with felony criminal damage because it couldn't be proved that the player caused all the damage.
Jackson issued an apology after the incident, offering to pay for any damage he may have caused.
He was also suspended for Kansas’s Big 12 Tournament opener because of a hit-and-run with a parked car in February. Kansas would lose that game to TCU.

I agree.... KP is not the Knicks. Alot of focus is on Phil because he's in charge. He's trying to get a group of basketball players together that just want to play hard for each other. KP skips the exit meeting and his brother meets with Phil. "It didn't go anywhere"... where was it supposed to go? Im confused. KP needs to get better and buy in.... nothing else. Nothing to negociate....

and he's out there boxing and doing yoga... practicing little kid drills and step back jumpers. Is he going to be a go to guy? Well he ever be a guy you can give the ball too and say get me a basket? I dunno. The dude has been 18 and 7 with 2 3s and 2 blocks a game... if you give Willy is role and then add 2 wings plus possibly more via the draft and other trades.... it's all good man.
Fans often value the concept and promise of a pick vs. a player.
KP is not a finished product.

No way. Need more back than a good but not great prospect. Jackson isn't likely a franchise player.
I agree that no one is untouchable. But I need a helluva lot more than Jackson and a second-rounder If need another high first+rounder, and some more picks or a promising you player. If KP was in this year's draft, based on what we know now, he'd go #1. The package would have to crap on the deal Boston got for #1.
Fox would be the better choice here. He is next irving with better defense

Phil's job is to build a contender and he's done a God awful job of it. One missed meeting should not trigger trade talks for the best draft pick in 30 years. If Phil is really the adult in the room (which I have seen no evidence of) he needs to make a concerted effort to come to some kind of understanding with Porzingis. That should be job one right now, not listening to offers.
