Kyrie is a nice player but I am glad we didn't cave him and throw everything in the bank for him.
nixluva @ 8/22/2017 7:53 PM
WOW! 😳 Gotta say I didn't see that one coming. The NBA is so turbulent that it's crazy.

I wasn't worried the Knicks would sell the farm to get Kyrie. Now tho I'm even more perplexed at how the Knicks will resolve the Melo issue.

blkexec @ 8/22/2017 7:55 PM
Why can't the knicks do trades like this? Cavs came off lovely.....2018 pick was the tipping point to me. That's possibly another star player.....
Gudris @ 8/22/2017 8:03 PM
Melo got us srewed
TheGame @ 8/22/2017 8:05 PM
We should see if Cavs will give us Crowder and Shumpert for Melo
Paris907 @ 8/22/2017 8:10 PM
Melo reared his evil forces again as that trade would have yielded a pick in a 3 way plus Crowder or J Brown.
Cavs still better than Celtics by a pinch but Celtics secured Morris and have Smart. Tough D. Also, Celtics may still have a trade left.
yellowboy90 @ 8/22/2017 8:10 PM
Ainge is stupid.

Yeah, that pick is the key because I think Thomas is overrated. However, next to Lebron he's going to look even better than he did in Boston and get PAID next season...and then be viewed as having the worst contract in the league when Lebron walks. The question is will Cleveland give him that contract?

I'm just kinda shocked two teams battling each other for the east crown agreed to deal with each other.

I'm not sure Lebron walks, not if they convince his friend Melo to come over......

Jae crowder and Shumpert for Melo? Maybe a collection of their trash for that 2018 pick.....:

Chandler @ 8/22/2017 8:19 PM
Will isiah be last years model or a one dimensional defensive liability?

Who knows. Glad we didn't ship KP

yellowboy90 @ 8/22/2017 8:23 PM
Will anyone take on Love's contract because if I am Cleveland I am trying to trade him too. The Cs could have had Jimmy Butler for less.

Can they trade Crowder now or do they have to wait until the middle of the season?

Lebron hates the owner. He is leaving, no doubt

Shump sucks. No thank you. Over rated and over paid.

CrushAlot @ 8/22/2017 8:30 PM
That is an amazing del for the Cavs. A total reset for a team that mortgaged everything to compete for a championship.

Yeah, I think he's gone too.

Thomas is a FA after this year. Im sure he's looking for the max

I think that might be why they moved him. The Cavs might give him the max. He is a tough guy to do that for because he gets knocked around so much and relies on his athleticism.
GustavBahler @ 8/22/2017 8:42 PM
Thomas and Crowder's deals are expiring, would have been very expensive to keep both of them. They still have plenty of draft picks. They still need another star though. Not helpful for the Knicks. Defense is going to have to be job one.

Not really they gave up a all star to a rival team for what I think will be a 5-7 pick, an above average roleplayer, a older PG who needs to be paid, and a prospect Big.

I still don't think this is the last move they make and I don't think they are about to reset around Lebron.
