PG: RJ Barrett
SG: Damyean Dotson
SF: Frank Ntilikina
PF: Obi Toppin
C: Mitchell Robinson
I don't see a real offensive threat in that lineup. I'm sure we can pencil Frank in for 6 pts already and no free throws.
We just drafted Quickley who was 43% from 3 at Kentucky
PG: Barrett
SG: Quickley
SF: Frank
PF: Obi
C: Mitch
Have to assume their are some other deals in place.. what happens to Randle & Knox
in a league where there is AD, Giannes, Durant
i wish Toppin luck but wondering what our new stats guys are saying about it

That team has 1st pick in the 2022 draft written all over it. Also, am I missing something; since when did Frank and RJ switch positions?
Frank, q
Rj, dot
Knox?
Toppin
Mitch
I’d assume we are trading Randle
There is no way Quickley can start off the bat. He could be a really good bench player though.
As a matter of fact, I don’t even want to start Topin off the bat. If his defense is this bad then he needs to improve it in practice and coming off the bench before he can be trusted with such responsibilities.
At least we can find a way to not prevent Randle from turning it over all the time. Topin will be attacked every single time relentlessly.
I’m going with the same ol’. At least these guys have started to gain experience:
1- Frank
2- RJ
3- Knox
4- Randle
5- Mitch
Make RJ and Frank lead.

I would switch out Randle with OB1. Im hoping we can trade Randle and DSJ for young star Small forward or maybe we can go after Joe Harris. Im intrigued by the thought of signing Rondo so our young point guards(Frank, Harper,Quickley, DSJ) can learn from him. Other PG options are FVV, Dragic, Agustin.
A bench of these 5 could stay competitive too.
Frank
Quickley
Iggy
Knox
Wrotten.
A couple more weeks of free agency and we can know the real picture!
Would be nice to try to flip Frank or DSJR with Randle and a Dallas first for Victor. Need to open up minutes for Knox, Toppin and get another shot creator in the mix.
keep in mind the draft creates other opportunities. For example Charlotte now has LaMelo Rozier and Graham. I can imagine a rozier for Randle swap of some sort.
Celts just got Nesmith; do they still want Hayward? they might also let someone like Wanamaker go who could be a stopgap
Payton/DSJ/IQ/Harper
Barrett/FN/Ellington/Pinson
Bullock/Knox
Randle/Toppin
Robinson/Gibson/Portis
Raab/Wooten
So this is the roster currently that can get turned over. The depth chart aspect of it is a bit arbitrary. Didn’t really solve the floor spacing issue yet. Quikley could help with that, but it is unclear how NBA ready he is.
I could see them making a move on some of the Kentucky guys in a reclamation project. Willie Cauley Stein, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and D’aaron Fox stand out and should be relatively decent contracts.

Based on how Payton and Randle foolishly froze RJ out at times, I don’t ever want them on the Knicks together again. Peyton can be cut.
I'm just going to throw a guess roster out there which i'm sure will age poorly by tomorrow
C Robinson/ Giles/ Gibson
PF Toppin/ Knox/ Johnson
SF Barrett/ Kidd-Gilchrist/ Brazdeikis
SG Bullock/ Quickley/ Pinson
PG VanVleet/ Ntilikina/ Smith
Randle to Minn for James Johnson and a future 2nd round pick
VanVleet signed to 4 years 90 mil
Giles signed 2 years 20 mil (team option on the 2nd year)
Kidd-Gilchrist 1 year 5 mil
Wooten and Harper as 2-way players

Yeah, I don't want to go through another season of "Stockton" and "Malone" playing their personal game of pattycake during consecutive blowouts at MSG. I hear Randle is a good guy, but good teammates don't freeze out players on their own team just to pass it to their opponents off inane spin moves.
can we trade Randle and DSJ for Rozier and Monk? Or just sign FVV and trade Randle and DSJ plus pick for Otto porter? Is there a small forward we can trade Randle for?
That can give us
Fred
RJ
Otto Porter
OB1
Mitch

Porter would be an excellent fit.
I see it as:
PG - that isn't on the roster or Frank
SG - RJ
SF - someone that isn't on the roster or Toppin
PF - Randle
C - Mitch
I think Toppin is a PF long term but I think he has enough range and is athletic enough to handle SF if necessary. Not ideal but he did shoot 39% from three last year so he has enough range to keep em honest.
