Can’t play him and Randle big minutes together. He’s been bad, has to understand that shooting threes right now is hurting the team.
Mitchell is going to want out in Utah soon, they can’t go anywhere no that they super maxed Gobert.
Utah would probably take a package of RJ, Toppin, and two firsts if we need to go that route.
He needs shooter everywhere to be effective otherwise it’s going to be tough for him.

Mitchell just signed the extension this year...Mitchell is not going to want out this year. May take a few years if ever wants out....By that time, who knows what RJ and Obi's value will be.

Yikes. This isn’t good. I thought they’d be way more inefficient ahead
Of him. I guess he might take a lil longer but I’m still a believer.
Thibs needs to find a way to open up the floor for his drives. Without his drive moves, his offensive game will not be effective.
What's this thing about him using the left hand if he is a natural righty? Is it because he is right footed as well?

As soon as Payton is pulled from the lineup his efficiency will increase.
Why is he leading the league in minutes played, you don't think a players gets tired? Im sure that plays a role in his in efficiency
He's not even the best player on the team.
In these day and age of load management, this is old school Thibs at work

Yeah, it's something to keep an eye out on. He's also know for holding grueling practices and it all catches up to you. Still, I'll wait to see how he adjusts when the roster gets healthier before I make a judgement.
RJ after 10 games:
eFG%: 40%; FT% 69%; 3pt: 20%

He's the second best player at age 20 on a 5-5 team that has had possibly the hardest schedule in the league so far. I'm not going to be too hard on him. There's a reason Thibs plays him so many minutes. We can't get obsessed with the efficiency numbers at this stage.
I think it’s very clear when RJ doesn’t have it. You can tell in the first 5 minutes. Those are the nights you need to limit his minutes. It’s great to be 5-5 but no one should ever play 44 minutes in the regular season.
We obviously don’t have Burks which kills us, Frank, Toppin that would be a great mix of players to put out there with Mitch and RJ.
Thibs needs to let Randle and RJ operate as much as he can when the other is off the floor. I would hope we do some combination of the below. There needs to be three shooters on the floor at all times
Burks is going to likely get 30 minutes a night when he comes back, which should solve some problems.
Randle
Knox
Burks
Bullock
Payton
Quickly
Frank
RJ
Toppin
Mitch

no matter who's healthy Thibs is not going beyond a 9 man rotation, and the 9th man will get token minutes, like less then 12.
Im all for a tight rotation, bt you still have to spread it out amongst the 9 players

Another frank homer that's willing to bench Rivers so frank can get minutes..Dude your tripping, and you know that will never happen

Since when does Injuries have an age limit?
It was all good at 5-3. I mean it was ALL good.
Now its “WTF IS ThIBs doing”?
Knicks at .500 even after 10 games is him playing the shit out of his what he got to win.
This is who Leon hired. Paxton is upstairs waiting to duke it out? LOL
guess what, we are not winning 50 games. Losing sucks.
Rivers is a 5mm per year player. That 11 straight point hero shit he did the other day is great, but now we seeing why he is paid as such. Complain about Elf? He is a 4mm.
Damn right we want Frank and Dennis to step up.
who said “Quickly is a definite allstar”? 1248? After 27 min of play. Now we see what happens, teams watch some film and now humble the kid. He’ll be fine but he not except from growth pain. But Thibs won’t just play thru bad rookie play. Some of it will be tolerated. next up is OBI.
I don’t know if Thibs is letting RJ play thru it. Maybe its a high conviction of his talent and he will get thru this stage.
Gotta take the bad with the good. Question is will the good come back???

I’d guess Thibs is seeing if Barrett can play through it. And I am fine with this. I have a big objection though - having Elf, Barrett, Randle and Robinson on the floor together feels out of touch with the realities of floor spacing as a characteristic of good teams.
Feels like Barrett’s FTAs are down. Feels like he isn’t able to put the ball on the floor. I don’t have a solution for Robinson. He isn’t going to spread the floor. Randle is a lock in the SL. I’d probably swap Rivers and Burks for Payton and Barrett when Burks is back. Payton puts up some solid games sometimes, but it’s like 1 out of 5.
Off the bench, I’d run IQ/Barrett/Knox/Toppin. If they want to leave Randle in, they can let him play as C for some minutes.
I dunno.
Out of 10 games RJ had 2 good 3pt shooting games. In the other 8 he shot
2 for 37.At least he is averaging 3 dimes and 7.6 Rebs on those bad shooting games.

Barrett’s biggest weakness is shooting and all he wants to do is spot up. I don’t get it.

Without shooters around him, what else can he do?
