I'd take a gamble on lowry as lead guard on a 2 year deal and by year 2, Quickley should challenge him for the top PG position with rose shifting to a taj Gibson role.

I agree it's hard to count on Rose given his injury history and wear and tear - but hes' having a better year than Lowry and Lowry is 35. My preference would be to keep Rose and bring in a young PG.

I think lowry sucks now because they aren't contending and could be because of the relocation to tampa Bay.

But I think under thibs and a competitive team he can still thrive. We aren't competing with other teams as they are strapped for cash. Reports of 50M for 2 years is not bad for him. Make quickley compete for the starting PG spot in his year 3 and shift lowry to the rose role in year, while rose if he is still here make him the taj Gibson role

A change of scenery certainly helped Rose.

Rose has been playing like this for the last couple of yrs, you just stop paying attn once he left NY.

You can't pay a 35 year old $25M and then shift him to a role player for $25M when he is 36 unless they are CP3 or LeBron. And not for nothing but it looks like he spends about 50% of his salary on fast food

He's cultivating mass Martin I like the other idea mentioned of just offering him a huge one-year deal. Heck make two years, with a team option and $1M buyout.

Dunno what Vildoza brings to the table, but if he can play credibly enough to take Elf's minutes, than I'm fine with trying to piece PG together with him, Rose and Quickley.

Yeah that’s why the pistons gave him to us for nothing

The one and only way we ever get Elf out of the rotation is acquiring another starting pg

This is by far the best he has played since Chicago. The Cavs were happy to dump him. This is far the best 3 point shooting of his career

with Minny he was avg 18 points on 48% shooting 37% from 3. His fist season in detroit same #s slightly higher.

He voluntarily went to the bench this season so Detroit could develop their youth, then requested a trade when the team became awful.

Devonte Graham could definitely be a sleeper option. He's a great outside shooter and quality defender. He's played in multi-guard lineups plenty so he has versatility to share the backcourt with Rose or Quickley. He's a restricted free agent, but also a CAA client, so there might be some helpful connections to getting him without an issue. He's not much of a creator but he's probably a little better in the half court than Lonzo Ball. His advanced metrics are really good. He's been a very impactful defender and overall player the last couple of seasons, even stuck behind Rozier and LaMelo Ball.

Good point. He never shot the 3 like this even in his prime with the bulls
