This was to be expected. I saw a Frank N comparison in here. Frank never averaged more than 5 points internationally before we drafted him. He was a classic "project" and a known nonshooter. Deuce led a very good college program and shot very well from 3 and the foul line. He's never played 20 minutes in 4 consecutive NBA games and was never asked to play off-ball before entering the league. I don't think Deuce will ever be able to create the type of rim pressure needed from an NBA facilitator getting big minutes and I question if he can make some passes due to size etc. On the other hand, I don't think there is any reason to believe he wouldn't be 35% or better from 3 with minutes and a consistent role. It's unfortunately, that he is getting the squeeze here. I think he is ready to contribute as 20 min a 20-minute-a-night guy.
We all like Deuce. The obvious question is where those 20 minutes would come from. Injuries are the only probable scenario for now. Or a trade involving IQ perhaps. Or one involving Deuce.
I wasn't saying he would or should get them just that he is ready for them imo
Of course and I'm just chiming in
It’s fucking declining LOL
This comes with 6 month trade protection. Leon is smart. He knows if he does a big deal the other team would want Deuce to get thrown in there. Now he prevents that from happening. Of course Leon wouldn't let a deal for a stud get ruined over Mcbride so of course he would have to throw him in. Now he can simply say his hands are tied and Mcbride can't be a throw in.

The Duece is not loose, for at least 6 months
Has Deuce finally arrived?
So glad we signed him to a contract. He fits perfectly with the D and Run second unit
THE DEUCE IS LOOSE
Look what mins will do for you. Thats G league confidence coming out.
Most underrated 2 way backup PG at a friendly contract. Thibs hand picked him for a reason. Nice shooting Deuce. Keeping JB fresh.

Mitch should not be on the list. Not a two way player. Not until he learns to shoot free throws at 6O% minimum

I disagree. Mitch is the very definition of a 2 way player. His offensive rebounds are what made our offenses efficient in the past. He might not have shot the ball after rebounding it but that is still helping on offensive side of the ball. Now that we actually fit can you imagine how more efficient this team would be with Mitches rebounding? Think of his rebounding as hocky assists.

His offensive rebounding gives us extra possessions. It contributes, sure. It's not his offense, however. That's like saying that any great shooter( think Steve Novak) is automatically a two way player because the more his shots go in the less rebounds there are for the opposite team meaning less possessions, meaning it's a defensive impact. No,that not how it works. Now, if Mitch
could put the ball in the basket he would be a two way player, but he cannot.

I don't agree with your comparison for shooting helping defense. The process after a shot goes in is standardized. Offensive rebounding can be a putback which is directly offense. It can be kicking it out to an open man which is directly offense. The kickout can be a hocky assist which people will easily think of as offense unless it comes after a rebound. It can also get defenses off balance which is indirect offense. Just like a drive an kick can put a defense in scramble mode an offensive rebound can do the same.
I totally get others might not agree as this is subjective but if you looked at the difference in efficiency when you count 2nd chance points off his rebounds vs not counting them the difference was massive. I think it was last season or the season before I seen that stat. It was that season where we were one of the top offensive teams despite have poor shooting percentages across the board. In my opinion, for a person to help an offense that much you have to give them some credit offensively even if it might not be what is conventionally of as offense. I will conceed that this is purely subjective so it is fine if we don't agree on it. It is just a difference of opinion.

So in my original post I had a question mark next to Mitch as well. But then I realized he’s a lob threat and offensive rebounding machine which provides extra possessions on offense. We don’t have that type of passing PG. If we did Mitch offensive impact would be higher.
My definition of 2 way player is impacting on both ends. Not who has the best individual 1 on 1 moves. As clean said which I wasn’t thinking about. His offensive boards (remember hes the best in the nba) contributes on that side providing extra OFFENSIVE possessions. And he’s a lob threat we don’t utilize. But you see it in his picks we just don’t pass it to him.
But if this is the only argument on that long list of 2 way players I mentioned, Then we are in great shape as a team. Very deep with players who impact both sides. That’s all I was saying. Impacting both sides of the court.
And deuce has been an example of a 2 way player who only showed 1 way for a while with his defense. But in colleg and the G league he was a 2 way threat. Now that he has trust from the FO and Thibs, plus he worked on his game. seems like he has it clicking on offense now. Thats great for a dominate defender.
So Eddy Curry was not a 2way player?
Rumors of bisexuality does not count?

I don’t know or understand your post. But that’s typical at this point so I’ll keep it moving and say this.
