Ooh. That sounds really stupid.
One of the worst drafts in Knicks history and we've had many.

This... Rose po'd the crowd that is excited for the young rebuild for the crowd who wants a free agent, likely not going to make us any better and we'll AGAIN be struck with a bloaded contract, IF we even get one.
Can't say I've been following the lead up to the draft, so I can't be that disappointed about missing this or that player, but it seems clear that right now, Leon Rose is in the Thibs "live and die with the veterans" camp. For the most part, I don't think TT wants anything to do with developing a young player.
Man, is there an ultimateblazers.com? Lill, Sharpe and Grant should be fun to watch…

I am leaning heavily to be a OKC Thunder fan ...
I am no draft expert but these picks seem crappy.
What are the restrictions on the 1st next year?

I been looking at the Pistons. The amount of young talent and cap space is crazy.

AGAIN
NO one will want to really come to NY and ball,
2022
2023
2024 .. We all be d_ad before Knicks do moves to make sense for progress.

Will give benefit of doubt that there's more to it, but holy hell if true...
Not exactly.
We traded the 11 for 3 future firsts
Then we traded one of thos future firsts and two future 2nds to get rid of Kemba for cap space.
So on net we ended up with 2 future firsts and cap space for 11, Kemba and some 2nds.
I think.
Yeah but those are like facts and stuff. The group think is that we should have drafted another mediocre wing at 11 instead of actually getting in a position to sign an actual pg plus acquiring picks in a better double draft
Clean wrote:I am no draft expert but these picks seem crappy.
We'll need those 2nds to dump Brunson in 2027 ..
Still don’t add up for me. Im not pissed. Im just not seeing it yet.

Probably top 10 protected
So rather than just drafting Duren at 11, they traded 11 for three conditional (14+) picks in 2023, two of which are perennial lotto teams. We trade the only one that seems likely to convey next year to Charlotte with our 2023 2nd (essentially a double draft 1st) and 2 other meaningful seconds.
All for 15mm of cap space that costs us our MLE and Biannual (15mm of exception space)?
This FO is retarded.
So we are gerting that 2025 first the pistons got in the grant trade too. So walking away with 3 firsts and cap space (albeit protected picks)

Thanks. Thought I saw we traded down for Duren then traded him with Kemba.
This is going to be a complicated night. Will figure who's in NY tomorrow when the dust settles!

$15 mil cap room plus two future first round picks in next years draft which is better than this years underwhelming draft

They suck @$$

We still get MLE after signing a PG and resigning Mitch
So ok lets attempt to summarize again
Over multiple deals here is what came out and came in
Out went no.11, Kemba, 2023 and 2024 knicks 2nd rounders and 2 additional 2023 2nd rounders that we had
In came:
Cap space
2023 protected Detroit no 1
2023 protected Washington no 1
2025 Milwaukee no 1
