I swear, if Randle is still bringing up the ball even now we have Brunson…

He and Botkins, or whatever his name is over on cbssports.com always, always, always list the knicks under the ‘loser’ category of every trade, trade deadline, free agency and draft, and always give them a c or D in any report or draft grade.

From the article:
At the end of the day, to go out and move all the pieces the Knicks moved to clear the space they did to end up with a non-All-Star as your prize $104M signing, that's a loss.

Stars are going double that in the $200M range 😂 I like Burks and Noel, but I wouldn't consider that heaven and earth.

When I refer to “frauds, gasbags, snakes” and so forth in my posts, this is what I am talking about.

This is all nonsense. The basis for his grade is that every free agency class has a bust, so it mind as well be Brunson since it's the Knicks. He cherry picked one arbitrary stat and the went off on a rant.
Jimbo5 @ 7/3/2022 9:33 PM
Now i first want to look at the flurry of trades to ship out walker, burks and Noel in it self is a win already creating playing time for the youth erasing the last offseason signing mistakes. Brunson is the cherry on top. I hope they can find a new home for Fournier soon. Just embrace the youth movement and fevelop the kids.

I still think we need to get rid of randle more than Fournier. Fournier you can move to the bench, he seemed to develop nice chemistry/ had a good personality with the you guys. Randle is just a cloud hanging over the team. He'll sulk if he comes off the bench, he'll sulk if he has a reduced role etc. Somewhere along the way he started thinking he's Kobe Bryant- I just don't see how you put that back in the box. Plus spacing is a disaster with him, Mitch, RJ and Brunson.

Typical same ole Knicks tired garbage talking points. This guy would also be hyperventilating if rose traded the pick to get under the cap and then didn’t sign Brunson

Fournier is here to stay another 2 years with that contract

The kids will get to play. No more Burks means more minutes for Grimes, IQ and Cam. IQ will also play pg off the bench too

The issue is going to be Obi.

After all these years Stephen A Smith still showing what an ignorant clown he is

Yeah, he's mad because the Knicks didn't pick another center? I don't think he's even watched a college basketball game in the last 7 years. No one is throwing a tantrum over Duren and Mark Williams

It’s too bad -once upon a time he was a reasonably informed occasionally objective voice on all things Knicks. But I guess he decided the tortured crybaby Knicks fan clown act was the way to go. And now that there is a cottage industry of Knicks hate, why bother to be reasonable or educated? I

The sad thing is he's very intelligent but he plays a character, and he knows exactly what character he's meant to play. That character got him paid, but it's really getting tired and out of date- he's probably bored of playing it. And see what happened to kellerman, and Skip Bayliss. By the time you realise it's expired, you get dumped and you've lost your integrity. Now players can clap back on social media and have their own platforms, honestly it's just stale, it doesn't work anymore. The older casual viewers probably still like it, but the next gen of viewers are probably thinking "what is this crap?"

So sick of people saying Stephen A Smith clueless except he knows basketball. He knows as little about basketball as the other sports.

Stopped listening to his basketball opinions during the Isiah years when he constantly defended the guy

Clean @ 7/4/2022 5:31 PM
I still listen to them but mostly as background noise while I am doing yard work or cleaning. Just gotta remember to not take them seriously. I have to skip the segment once they start talking about the Laker or Lebron. Sadly about half of their show these years is about the Lakers or Lebron.

I’m still not sure what the title of this thread is.
Nalod @ 7/5/2022 8:09 AM
SStephan I was premature to go off. Mitch resigned and iHart/simms is reaasoable back up for what we are attempting. See Obi making back door cuts with iHart.

Now if you really want to undertand what that .CBS was doing go back and read some of our takes that were ready to run Leon out of town. Yes, some of you were losing it and some were saying “Just wait and see what happens”. It did become logical.
Granted, the roster is still a bit deep and stands to reason there are other shoes to drop but seemingly things are at a stand still given the Nets situation(s) and teams posturing to make something of it.

That Minny paid that for Gorbert might have set things a bit out of kilter.

A Brunson Don Mitch back court is not logical. EF defense is not awful but not what Thibs might prefer either.
RJ is a good defender so not an issue there. Not great. but I give him a chance before I bet the ranch on DMitch.
On paper and potential of what Minny did cold put them top 4 in the west with what they have 1-8. Snyder and Utah did a good job for years but this Minny lineup is more talented than anything Utah put out there.
I don’t give a rats ass about Minny or make predications but they will be an interesting story going forward.
