Only trade I would take for KD is Randle and some picks (would never happen). While an amazing talent - he's already shown little character with what he is doing to the Nets franchise... so I worry he could set us back even further.
Hope he ends up going to a non-conference leading team and just plays ball.
KD would come here, kill the cap, get injured, and stir the drama pot while the media laughs and the fans cry.
KD and Kyrie for Westbrook and a future top 29 protected first
Taking a step back, a deal with the Raptors is probably the easiest and therefore more likely. They have their picks and a variety of players depending on what it takes (OG, Siakam, Barnes, Trent Jr)- a lot of flexibility there to work out a deal, plus it's near enough to NY so maybe KD warms to it.
The problem with trading assets for Durant is your getting a 33 year old guy with a lengthy injury history especially in recent years. He also can’t handle being in a big market in the East so that rules out Toronto, Chicago or the Knicks
I don't care how good KD is, I do NOT want him here! This is a guy who DISSED us and continues to take shots at us! HAVE SOME DIGNITY!!!

But……if the move guaranteed a chip? Otherwise there’s no point.I don’t think Randle for KD straight up makes us championship worthy. And they will want more than Randle so NO.

This guy gets it. Also he is 33 and retiring in 2 - 3 years.
Randle, Fournier, Cam and 2 first protected and two second. I think that will be enough to get deal done for 33 year old KD.

Fournier and Cam would likely be redundant for the Nets unless they are able to make other moves (i.e. trade Harris). The Nets will probably want at least 3 or 4 unprotected first rounders as their picks are depleted from when they traded for Harden.

The Nets are dealing from a position of weakness the first round picks are protected. KD is whimsical and we don’t know if he will want to stay so his value is reduced. I might throw another first or swap.
Fournier is a sg/sf and Cam is more a sf. Harris is a bench guy. They could field a strong team around Kyrie if he is still there.

KD is under contract for 4 more years. Just because he requested a trade, doesn't mean the Nets can't take their time and shop around for the best offer. The Jazz just traded Gobert a 30 Year Old Center with a high salary cap hit for 3 unprotected first round picks, a 4th Top 5 Protected Pick, 2 Former First Round players, a first round player selected in the '22 draft and a guard who is known for very good defense. Why would the Nets trade Durant to their division and cross town rival from a position of weakness? They can shop Durant anytime to a contending team who might gladly overpay to have him put the team over the top.
Also - if the Nets are trading KD, why would they look to be a strong team next season with Kyrie who is much more flaky and has also has requested a trade. They will likely want to jettison both and start over again with a younger core and draft picks.
Kd not going nowhere. He will be with the Nets once season begins..

IDK. It is weird that something hasnt been done, considering who the player is. My guess as to why depends on KD's relationship with Kyrie. If KD has reached the breaking point with his friend. It looks like he is telling mgmt "its him or me".
KD demanded to be traded immediately after Kyrie re-upped. Kyrie getting traded might be enough to make Durant want to stay, if mgmt can get a good deal for Kyrie.
If they are still tight. Then I really dont know whats going on, lol. Cant blame mgmt for this fiasco. Other than knowing that Kyrie brings Drama.

I don't think it's weird. Nets are in the driver's seat and there's no reason to rush. KD is already signed and he doesn't have a no trade clause. All the damage has already been done from the perspective of the Nets FO.

Would have expected to hear of more teams in the hunt by now. Thats usually what happens when an elite player (in their prime) wants out.

KD did reportedly put together a list of teams who, for the most part, don't have anything the Nets really want. I think you'd see more traction if Durant opens up his list. From the Nets standpoint, there's no rush. They might need to get a handle on their demands tho. It's not like an opposing team would be getting a spring chicken.

Good points, makes sense.
Any issues with Nets is just as much on Joe Tsai as anyone. The big contracts are done with owners blessing so lets not pretend otherwise.
Precovid and pre Morey w/Rockets he was making a play for nets deep run and those games being promoted in China and he making a business decision.
China balking at NBA precovid and then the pandemic put a damper on it. Then Kyrie doing Kyrie things.
In my mind Kyrie flacked out and the only path back given they gave away the picks is to trade Durant. Durant might have been vocal to change the public narrative.
Fact is he did not get a No trade clause. Fact is he extended and did show faith to Nets. Im not seeing he is a whimsical dude. Just being real abut Kyrie.
