Knicks · I got my wish: No more Kemba Walker and especially Evan Fournier as our Starting Backcourt @ PG/SG. (page 1)

NYKMentality @ 7/21/2022 3:23 PM
I complained about it throughout all of 2021.

PG: Jalen Brunson.
SG: Donovan Mitchell.

Yoooo.

I couldn't be happier and/or any more excited.

NYC BASKETBALL IS BACK.

Yes.

Donovan Mitchell is a Knick.

Earlier today he posted on Twitter "God is Good".

Then hours later there are now hundreds/thousands posting on Twitter letting us know he's a KNICK and they're only within our contract details.

It'll be finalized today.

jaydh @ 7/21/2022 4:13 PM
There are rumors the deal is agreed upon but not finalized.

God is good could mean he's hyped about Jaum Sotonwanting to be a Met There's some smoke but nothing solid.

Or maybe he traded in his Ferrari for a Lambo.

Is that the latest Utah-Knicks metaphor?

I’m a non-believer til I hear it from Shams.

I am sorry him posting God is Good is not definitive proof he is a Knick. God is Good for a lot of reasons outside of NBA trades.

DM seems to be trying to move the trade along. Making an appearance at a local sports venue, staying in the headlines. I really like the enthusiam to want to play in NY. Also like the FO (to this point) staying disciplined.

This.

I’m for the Mitchell trade if we can get him at a reasonable price which means 3x future first round picks plus Obi and IQ

He spends his offseason in NY every Summer and does things with local sports venues because his father is connected to the Mets. A lot of players spend their summer in NY because its one of the best places in the country if you are wealthy AND want to not have paparazzi reporters stalking you.

I do not doubt that he wants to come to NY because Utah on the low is broken, plus he is from here. However, after what we just saw the FO do during the draft. Does anyone here really believe there are any viable sources on the Knicks moves or even the knicks thinking? If/When Mitchell is traded here it will likely just be announced similar to the KP trade where it is coming out of the blue. Similar to how it happened with Jerami Grant with Portland. There were rumors and then it was done.

Stop trying to read the twitter tea leaves and be patient. It will either happen or it won't, but at least be happy this current Knicks FO aren't desperate to the point of stupidity.

I'm not saying its a coincidence I am saying it doesn't matter....

I doubt they even have radios or TV's in Utah so I'm not buying anything until I hear it from Woj, Shams or Stein.

Shams corrects Woj on details. Does Stein actually has real sources? Or is he just scanning the local papers like us?

I have faith Rose/Perry won’t overpay for Mitchell. If they get him it will be at a semi-reasonable price. I’m ok with the 6 first round picks IF and only IF Ainge agrees to take back Randle’s contract

I’m getting a little bit worried a KD for Mitchell trade will be that trade announcement that comes out the blue. Utah is the tiny western conference market KD wants to be in and Mitchell like you said wants to be in NY and the nets he’d probably settle for

Where does Simmons go? Designated Rookie extensions make that really hard.

Guess the BBall Gods went bowling..

Still might happen, glad the Knicks arent bidding against themselves. If they were, the deal probably would have been done by now.
