Not sure but it's weird.
I just went to a site that was updated 5 days ago that lists all of the 6th Man of the Year favorites etc and Immanuel Quickley's name wasn't even mentioned...
Russell Westbrook = -150
Malcolm Brogdon = +150
Tyrese Maxey = +700.
Norman Powell + 800.
Bennedict Mathurin = +1800.
Jordan Poole = +6000.
Bogdan Bogdanovic = +6500.
Malik Monk = +8000.
Victor Oladipo = +12000.
Malik Beasley = +15000.
Etc.
But no IQ?
I know there's multiple sites like this so would be intriguing if anyone knows of any outlets that even has Quick within the same topic of discussion?

Very underwhelming list of names
Not like we over over advocate for our own.
As “indispensable” IQ has been, he rarely finishes games for us.
Do the dudes on that list frequently finish as such?
IQ has really turned it on of late. Earlier in the year he was struggling with his shooting, but he's definitely the third most important player on the team at this point.

That looks like another Brunson move that he's co-opted. JB needs to sue IQ for copyright infringement.

its exciting. To get to the next level we needed some of these guys to level up. We are seeing that with IQ for sure

Hoping we see that from Grimes as well. I get the feeling that he might not be as deferential, if he was back in the second unit, where the ball really moves. IQ really shined at the 2.
We'll see what happens in the second half, although Im not expecting the rotation to change, except for Mitch's return

I would lock him up this offseason if possible... someone is gonna throw mad money at him

I get yelled at (not really) when I say he might be traded. "you don' want to get ride of IQ".......
THats what Im told. no, its he might decide his market value is more than we want to pay. If he is offered "mad Money", or projected to then he there in lies the rub and opportunity.
Team who wants him will give him a starting role? If so, then what his he worth? Easy two mid first rounders and that team has a need now, and does not want to wait and can pay.
Is he to replace Brunson here? At 6-3, he is not prototypical SG. One might think Grimes has a higher ceiling?
I like Quick. But I ask myself the long view and what his ceiling is.
Not known is what comes back in return? Is this were we trade him, and picks to move up to a top 10 draft slot (bottom 5)? 2 firsts and IQ for the dreaded 8th spot and who is that player we draft?
Im just spitballing scenarios.
This pertains to Grimes and RJ also. Im not getting rid of anyone, Im enhancing the upside. "Stars are drafted in top 15". It happens.
After Webenyama and Scoot it starts to get interesting.
IF IQ and Knicks can reach a good value it does not make him untradable if need be.
Im good either way. Fact is developing players that create hard decisions to to positive results is preferred.
I love what IQ is doing these days, but locking him up is just one part of the equation.
Reddit always wins. I am loving Sixthmanuel

He should win 6MOTY based on impact, but this is also a weird award that tends to go to guys with bigger reputations/ names. Like Westbrook is a favorite to get it. Impact towards winning doesn’t matter much with this award it seems. But he’s absolutely deserving. And Knicks do need to lock him long term this summer. He’s probably our 3rd most valuable player right now.

100%. Also think if the Knicks didn't have a backdrop of Sims/iHart stepping up very nicely in his absence, Mitch would get that same type of consideration.

Yup, still hope to see IQ start. Believe his ceiling is higher than 6th man. He's so efficient that he wont step on the other starter's game. Grimes might be more suited for that role.

I think you will see IQ get paid like a starter on his next contract but there just doesn't seem to be enough wiggle room to change rotation and he is just too good as a backup PG.
