That is true.

But an AWESOME finish to the 2nd half while outscoring them by 12 points (62-50) and won the game by 4 Points (on the road) 102-98.

It's never about how you start in the NBA it's always about how you finish because games are always won during the 2nd half; specifically the 4th Quarter to be exact (36-29 4th Q).

Brunson and Randle made the star plays when needed. Good to see this win.
CleaverGreene @ 2/7/2023 9:37 PM
Never easy with this team...but as I've said before, this is a gritty team. We can play better and smarter, but, for the most part, we play hard-nosed ball all the time.
JesseDark @ 2/7/2023 9:37 PM
Knicks gonna be a tough out once the playoffs come around.
GustavBahler @ 2/7/2023 9:38 PM
IQ got the nod to close over Grimes. We'll see if its a trend. Liked that Toppin got more time in the 4th than usual. Gives Thibs more options in the 4th, if Obi is contributing.

Jalen Brunson. Closed the game, kept us in it and finished it.

Dude is clutch and makes winning plays at both ends all season long.

MVP as usual

But you have to admit, if they improve these starts, it doesn't have to be a nail-bitter finish.

- Brunson absolutely elite down the stretch 9/13, 5 assts, 1to, 25 pts
- Julius just a brute 7/15 (4/9 from 3), 14 boards and 6 assts, 22 pts
- Quick - excellent
- Grimes with ? Shot/decision making all game but solid overall
- RJ banking in 3’s from the wing , 2 rbs but some solid D down the stretch

- Thibs actually making adjustments —- swapped in Grimes for Brunson for D, started using fouls instead of allowing 3s which scared the hell out of me

Nice win. Anyone catch Sims’ dribble between the legs!?! Between that and his 3/4 quarter 3 attempt he’ll be plying guard soon

Super glad the Knicks showed guts. I was really impressed with Fultz. Glad for him that he seems to have gotten his game back

Refs sucked balls tonight. That howdy dowdy looking ref was the worst. The magic were very handsy tonight. ANd in my book the golden rule of officiating more than anything else is to be consistent — and they weren’t

Yay team,

Our PG. For FOUR years.

I really didn’t understand that Brunso had the kind of first step/dribble quickness he has to get by people. He is simply a magician at scoring the ball and getting the shot he wants. FEARLESS.

really hope he can stay healthy and maintain his current athleticism for next 3 years at a minimum- such a stud on offense

Didn't get the blowout win I was hoping for but nonetheless an awesome win tonight.

Our young team just beat Orlando's young team who apparently are the next coming of the elite Showtime Lakers and/or the future Eastern Conference All-Star's and/or better yet the 1992 Dream Team; and we beat them

😂😭🤣

In all seriousness.

Loved IQ/Brunson/Julius tonight + the on ball and perimeter defense of both R.J. Barrett and Quentin Grimes were A+ tonight. Loved Sims rebounding tonight too.

Excellent win and we're now the 6th seed (passing Miami due to H2H tiebreaker) and only 3.0 games back of the Nets (back to back loses and now 1-3 previous 4).

Orlando is not good yet, but they have a depth of talent and some impressive players. They will have to deal some of those guys or let them go. They have a surplus of bigs and PGs.
