Agreed. This series is over. The Knicks even lost the game they won, if that was possible.

You two missed a good game.

One down, one to go. Then we take it at home.
No names came back down to earth (30% from 3) and will feel even more pressure next two games.

All the bitchin bout Randle (Jackals had their day) yet he is 15 for 25 last two games.
JB won't let us lose.
RJ played well.
We now need our bench to wake up.

All the naysayers, keep movin.

Knicks down 10 at end of Q1 as Julius hits bench after another brutal quarter of play.

Obi enters - Knicks go on 13-0 run to stabilize the game.

I thought Julius was sucky tonight - we are lucky Love went 0-7 on the wide open 3’s he took.

Yep, Obi saved the day. Randle's 4-7 and getting to the line did not compare.
Agree though. Randle started slow. Hit some threes and got to the line in the third.
JB getting hot was the difference. But you are right, Obi was on the floor during that. He also got a couple of rebounds.
Obi was also on the floor when we lost the big lead.
Hoping both Randle and Obi do well next game. We need them both.
Also hoping IQ is back and gets it going along with Grimes.

These are Grimes first playoffs so he get's a pass from me. He will learn and be better next time.

Yes, we do need a true number one or at the very least a reliable co-star with Brunson. Randle has proven he isn't that guy.

Our offense would look a lot better if we had reliable shooters. If you look at the stats, we are getting enough open and wide open threes. We just do not have the personnel who can hit them. We need to upgrade this skillset. And the inexperience and Brunson's injury has hurt too. We're not seeing Brunson cook one on one as much.

Bottom line I think we ran into a team that is flat out better and we've reached our ceiling this season.

The shooting is the issue. We can't knock down open 3's. We shot well tonight, the Heat didn't, and guess what, we won.

Julius went out and team went on a nice run.
Jimmy Butler also left the game in that time.

The Randle problem personified: Hits a a three as the first half ended and crowd goes wild. He soaks it in. Bam then tears down the court with .7 seconds and gets a long pass missing the rushed layup as time had expired. Jules checks out too often. Argues with ref and removes himself from the play.
Bam is a higher caliper player. Not more talented, just has more of the “it”.
He is a max player. Jules is not. I accept him as he is but understand we don’t win a chip with him as our 1st or second option. Its not an issue until we lose a series. We did win one.
Last night it was said both Jimmy and Lowrey have played in like 115 or so playoff games. This was Jules 14th.
Neither of them are carry on the back type players. They are great HOF but not MVP top level. Experience really matters. Its said we all get mentally tough as we get older and experienced. Maybe Jules will too?
He got the steal that sealed the game on a rare miami brain fart.

Shout out to Rj’s improved defense now for some time. He was great last night. he is also moving the ball. JB and Grimes played the whole game? Wow!!!!!!!!

+1

Our bench made 3 FGs and had 8 points.
We turn this around as well, we have a shot..

JB and Grimes never subbed out. Josh got in foul trouble early. Ihart been doing his thing in small doses. IQ is out and lets be real, Deuce shooting is far from reliable.
Read EF is a bit under the weather yesterday. We did not see Randle/Obi combo.
Miami has Lowrey off the bench and If Duncan Robinson starts hitting we in trouble.
Knicks could not afford to get into foul trouble.

We have to make open 3’s. The heat’s defense has not been that good we’ve been getting open looks the entire series even in games the heat won. We shot 38% from 3 last night we probably have to shoot 40-41% to even have a chance in game 6 as it will be a love fest between the refs and the heat

Yep. Been bringing up the mid 20's 3pt % after losses.

There has also been no mention of how big it has been to have IQ not playing well and not playing.
Putting a lot of minutes and responsibility on big three.
As mentioned, so many are scapegoating and ignoring how NO team will get past the second round with our poor wing shooting and bench play.
Feel we can still turn that around and sweep the last two.
