When I was a kid the Yankees signed Dave Winfield to a 10 year 24 million dollar deal and the reaction was like yours. Just makes us see how much money is out here in the world and we are at each other's throat for a six figure job. These salaries just confront us with that.

True, but I'm just looking at this through the lense of the new CBA. The Celtics are starting off at the edge. Could they get lucky with draft picks and fill the roster up that way? Maybe, but their recent draft history would lead me to believe that it's not realistic. Is Jaylon Brown really that good?
