I never really gave my opinion other than it’s a great trade for GS. For us there needs to be more to this trade than what they originally offered, which is why I believe it hasn’t been done.

I agree with both sides of this argument but it’s more fun to agree with joe the minority on a few points than to agree with the obvious. Grimes and Mitch is a lot. But DDV makes grimes expendable and Mitch loves the paint, along with majority of the starting lineup. I think iHart is a good fit n will impact this team with Mitch mins.

Mitch is my guy but he’s replaceable in this system. Just look how iHart performs when Mitch is out. In this scenario iHart steps up and gets more mins. Looney has more rings than anybody on the team. Sims os developing. He will impact this team with his rebounding and activity. He plays his role.

I agree that kuminga and pick(s) would be interesting. And maybe this leads us into another trade. But knick fans tend to overrate their own players, and this team needs a mobile center or iHart type center. If anything this puts pressure on philly to trade embed if they want Mitch in return for a blockbuster move.

I'll just do Mitch. Giving up Mitch and Grimes for pieces they don't need is stupid. Like I said this deal is about collecting talent. Kuminga and a pick for Mitch adds to the talent base, gives some more tradeable assets and Kuminga is a high upside 2 way 2/3/4 that this league is currently built on.

And I also believe Mitch will be better in Golden State. He will be surrounded by scorers with no choice but to do what he does best.

iHart isn't him-especially defensively- but he has a much closer skill set to Noah- the type of center Thibs is comfortable with. His passing and ability to hit the 3 would fit in well in a lineup with the starters to unclog the middle a bit.

Not for nothing but GS would rather have iHart than Mitch

I completely agree. He would fit well there. I really want to see him take a step forward. He can absolutely be a starting caliber center.

Yeah, I am hopeful there is a lot more to his game and with the Knicks

Per the link I posted, they were interested in Mitch. I agree that iHart would fit but I did not see his name mentioned in this proposed GS trade example.

I think iHart has more room to improve and Mitch might cap out in areas offensively, that iHart will continue to improve on. iHart defense really surprised me, and that won me over. His offensive IQ was already a strong point of his.

The article is a summary of another article that completely made up 3 trades by the author cause he was bored or something. GS had nothing to do with any of the thinking.

Gotcha

Well damn. I was hoping we make a move but now it looks like just getting rid of EF is the only move and there’s no rush to do that. I’ll sit back and light one up until I see some real news.

TRade proposal came across my google feed from one of those sites like Heavy- NBA Analysis Network....Barrett and a First to Pistons for Bogdonovic and Burks. These sites really looking for click bait LOL. https://nbaanalysis.net/2023/07/09/nba-t...

Detroit traded Bey for how many seconds last deadline ? They can get the Wizards pick which is a pair of second rounders, which can turn into a first, if the Wizards hit on their picks and Kuzma and Poole click with thiee young players. Plus Detroit maybe can trade Fornier at the deadline for some more picks.

Wherever #van goes, expect him to go for 6 threes, 30 points and three assists when he plays against us.

One plausible scenario is that I LOSE MY ***ING MIND CUZ THERE ARE NO DAMN GAMES TO WATCH!

It’s quite plausible that this off-season is going to have a detrimental effect on my mental well-being.

Up in here.

Why does it bother you so much ? Not your first offseason.

Expectations, baby!!!

We don’t suck any more!

IMHO, we were an ankle injury away from making it back to the finals.

Right but he’ll still be a -17 on the court.

Personally I think that is just the closest picture he can get of him playing defense.

Seriously, Let him talk. When he's done venting he can explain why they were better with him on the bench-with evidence to prove it. Explain why he had to bring an other man's name into his drama to feel like it somehow validates his point. Then he can explain why he doesn't give any effort on defense. Then he can explain how he let a 2nd year player and a 3rd year player play so much better than him they beat him out for minutes.

He can post whatever he wants now that he broke the seal (The Knicks are paying him good money he didn't live up to. They don't have to placate him by trading him for possibly below market (if there is one; like they did Obi).

He can go suck on Freedom Fry.

This is stupid.

blkexec @ 7/19/2023 8:56 AM
WTF happened to EF? He’s now entering locker room cancer levels. First I said we just bring him back and wait for the right trade opportunity. Now he’s telling all his dirty laundry to the French networks and spilling all the thibs dirt.

We are entering another Obi trade scenario. Teams are like, just wait and be patient. Knicks will start throwing away assets soon. EF is still a top 3 pt shooter in this league No? And we are no longer in the 90s defensive era. These young guys don’t play defense like they used to. So you would think EF fits in perfect with todays nba culture. 🤷‍♂️🤷

Just out score your opponent. Save your energy on defense so you can be more efficient on offense.
