From the Daily Beast..

Donald Trump won’t succeed if he tries to stir a violent overthrow of the 2024 presidential election results for one “essential” reason—he’s not in power, Kamala Harris’ senior campaign officials said Sunday.

One senior Democratic political operative said the campaign is “ready for it” and “won’t be surprised” if Trump repeats his 2020 playbook, especially after he declared earlier Sunday that he “shouldn’t have left the White House” after Joe Biden defeated him.

“Currently we have a president in the White House who respects elections, respects the will of the voters, respects the rule of law and instead of advancing and supporting a coup is going to use the federal government to ensure that everything happens as smoothly and peacefully in the transition of power as it should,” the official told reporters during a call.

When Trump was still in office on Jan. 6, 2021, he was in control of the D.C. National Guard, which he did not deploy to fend off his violent MAGA attackers who stormed the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 election results. This time around, Biden will be in the White House—and his administration has designated Jan. 6, 2025, when Congress will once again meet to fulfill its constitutional obligation, a “National Special Security Event.”

“So that is an essential difference,” said the Harris campaign aide, one of two senior officials who spoke to reporters on the condition of anonymity in order to speak freely about election updates.

Planning has been underway for months between the U.S. Secret Service and federal, state and local law-enforcement partners to develop a comprehensive security plan to prevent another insurrection, Eric Ranaghan, the special agent in charge of the U.S. Secret Service’s Dignitary Protective Division, said in September.

Love the Revolver article. Well, not so much the article, but the ivermectin advertisement.

Trump could have stopped the insurrection on January 6th with a tweet. Instead he chose to stay silent for hours, enjoying a watching party with family instead.

I know. the company that manages the Greensboro, NC arena that is the focus of side by side. Trumps rally had the upper bowl curtain closed. That arenas seats 21,000 for basketball. They use the curtain to block out much of the upper deck. They use it for smaller events. Kamala's event it was not used and capacity full to the top. Trump did not have the capacity of 10,000 full as depicted. Same arena. I'd guess Trump had 5,000-6,000 at that rally.

That he is talking about events vs. Hilary is weird. Droning on and on about it. His grandiose depiction of his term is very disturbing but here we are with millions of his followers taking the bait.

His demonstrated character as a convicted felon-narcissistic-cognitive deficient-sociopath. There in lies the core. He is attractive to many because he his money gives him power and thats what millions don't understand. How come he threatens to sue all the books and movies that come out and non are ever successful? He has to prove they are not true. He fails.

I voted In NC and have to show ID and sign an affidavit. Part of it is to verify voter is not a convicted felon awaiting punishment. I would think awaiting sentencing would also not allow him to get a job at McDonalds. Imagine, can't vote and can't work in McDonalds and he is so close to being president.

The people will decide. Good luck America.

Potential Bellwether state......

Florida. After the 2000 clown show they cleaned up their act and report early. Perhaps 9pm.
In 2016 Trump won by 1%, in 2020 3%, This is no swing/purple state anymore. It's red.
Im not here to do the "Just got this email and it looks like........" and make anyone feel good about their choice.
Nope.
No secret and common reported Harris is favored to win the popular vote and Trump favored based on polls showing he might have the slight electoral edge. Nothing new here and again way inside any margin error so there is no predictions Im seeing that are logical. Pennsylvania is seen as a tie.

Trump is leading Florida by 6%. If by 9pm they call it that he won by 8%, Dems will be sweating. If he wins by 4% or less GOP be sweating. That might indicate the error in other states leaning one way or the other.

Again, POTENTIAL Bellweather state! NO reason for anyone to celebrate yet. Might just be an interesting thang to look for and perhaps impress your children with.

In 4-8 years Texas will be in the same spot. It's why everyone is going all-in today and the last decade.

Mine also!

Deep cut: Found the song "something to say" by accident on the 1970 album "signed, sealed, and delivered". I told my wife "The best Wonder Song you never heard" and she agreed. Song builds nicely and has signature harmonica solo! Full orchestration adds a nice touch.

The concert dates were announced and the show was maybe a month out which was unusual. It was in swing states and I thought it would be far more political. It had messages but not like a rally type tone. Mostly music. He does like to talk. Unity, his kids, stories, and some politics but mostly "we got to get together" type message. Tickets were not expensive either. We paid about $125 for lower bowl about halfway back. Huge stage with big video and great sound. No need to sit too close and pay the huge fees. My friend up in Greensboro went to the box office saving about $50 per ticket service fee. He lives 10 min from arena. Ticketmaster was crazy on those. Go to box office and its a $2 service fee instead.

Regardless of which side you choose, hope everyone will participate in the democracy and vote.
Im impressed with countries like Peru where voting is compulsory. Want to send your kids to school or own real estate, then you have to vote. We make it so hard here. It should be over a weekend when people are mostly not working.
Online should be an option. Think "PayPal" type verification and security. Voter suppression is a bee in my bonnet. Taking away someones voice is not what we should be about.

We have a right to know medial capacity of leadership and tax records that demonstrate a lack of financial conflicts of interest. Trump rebellious attitude is attractive to many but in the end he is duping them. I pay my taxes not as a punitive action but as my contribution to society.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Got to catch a concert one of these days. Don’t know if I would call it a deep track, but a song you don’t hear played often that I really like is Wonder’s version of Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind”.
