Am I wrong or was Precious on Browns squad for that upset of the U.S.

He was.
Question is how does he see OG? A wing or PF?
Does he have a choice given the roster?

IMO starting Mitch makes the most sense pushing OG to SF. Analytically Mitch is an absolute monster. He is one of the best offensive rebounders and defensive presences in the league. The attention he commands due to teams trying to keep him off the boards while being surrounding by effective 3 three point shooters in JB, Mikal, OG, Kat is very tough to deal with. While defensively the length and size that Mikal, OG, Towns, Mitch provide would also be tough to deal with.
Teams would have to choose between pressing KAT to stop him from getting his shot off thus leaving their big alone on an island with Mitch. Or trying to help on the boards by sagging back and allowing cleaner shots.
You also give OG the freedom between SF/PF to rotate depending on matchup. Putting KAT on the forward whose less of a threat to put the ball on the floor.

Thought of this but rotation becomes I assume Yabu in for Mitch, then Kat moves to the 5. Ok.
Im always thinking Mitch plays 60 games and end of game FT shooting issues.
On paper I like it, but the deficit can be problematic. Hoping Huk Can give us back up without injury issues. If so we need to move on.
No doubt a healthy Mitch is an asset. Can we run with this team and play fast pace? KAT is a fine outlet passer off defensive rebound. Josh and Mikal are our best roadrunners. If OG covering the parameter he gets out in front and I trust he makes the right pass.
This is a good issue to have!
Mitch having a healthy summer is good.

We need the offensive firepower Yabu brings off the bench. Defensively frontcourt becomes a liability while also having Brunson as one at PG. Mikal also struggled defensively without a defensive anchor. If that's the case you would only have 1 positive defender in the starting lineup.
Boston made 5 out the new craze. But they did so because all their 5 out players defended well.

And those Celtics could shoot it! Either it be KP or Horford!
What's done is done with Thibs out and Brown in. I expect Brown impressed FO with a schematic that brings out the best in KAT/JB with OG and Mkal all moving and Grooving.
We saw it at times so it was not foreign or non existant last season. What is unknown is Josh as a starter, his knee, his minutes, and his inconsistent outside shot.
Maybe it was that or something else but there was frustration on the court over something.

And then got ate up by Mitch in the playoffs to the point where they needed to foul him intentionally to try to get him off the court.

Yes! Funny how all year we got smacked by better teams including Celtics then come playoffs when the "knicks were built to beat celtics" and darn it all if that is not what happened! There is a popular media slant that Celtics if Tatum did not break were poised to make it a series and come back. Well, fact is Tatum did break and Mitched ate them leprechauns like it was a bowl of "Lucky charms cereal". Funny, in most years we would as fans been over the moon with such a series win but we all had that gut feeling it was all just too hard on the court. We either had to over come big leads or we gave them up.
Kp was a shell of himself and while Kornet looked like Giannis at times we did beat the celtics and that itself should always be celebrated.

KP having some type of breathing issues limiting his availability and effectiveness and Hortford being an old man probably won us he series. No longer had the rim protection and physical capabilities to cover for "5 out" in the paint. And their 3 ball betrayed them.

So it’s Brunson, Fois, Brink, Bryant definitely. Probably Erman and Cheeks too. And then 2 more guys? An assoc HC and 1 more Brown pick ? They better be good hires because it’s a pretty underwhelming staff.

Mike Brown’s coaching tree is looking like a Charlie Brown tree

The way the coaching staff was used last season, from what I’ve read was “underwhelming”. Brown said he would lean on his coaches, which was a criticism of Thibs during his time in NY. Maybe they just need more of a voice. We’ll see.
