At this point even Westbrook looks better suited to contribute.
My preference is Wright or Shamet. Both Played decently and bring familiarity. Do feel we need an experienced back up PG but think Shamet will have a really good year since he is coming off some good games in the playoffs and will hopefully have a healthier start.

Lots of possibilities. One thing is pretty clear to me. He has shown no real interest in being a professional basketball player for several years now. What ever the reason, why would anyone think this will all of a sudden change?

Felt we needed a solid experienced back up PG.
But with little available besides a trade, this result was expected.
Having an abundance of shooters is still key as well. And Shamet did that well and is familiar.
So do like that he is back.
Knicks also signed Mathews to a camp deal. Also a real good shooter but would have to compete with Shamet for the last spot. Which is odd but competition is usually healthy.
Hoping Duece or Kolek take big steps up and contribute. Wish we could take both their strengths and make another player. Maybe they can surprise us and do it on their own.
Don’t think trying to make Clarkson a PG that runs an offense is smart. Best role for him is as a gunner off the bench.
Its a curious look for sure but we all know rosters are not set in stone so we can anticipate uspide surprise play, decline, injuries and trades as well. Can't really predict how this all comes together.
Add in a new coach with new schematics one might say all cards are on the table with players to prove their ability to execute it. So may questions we can only answer based on last year.
Brown is here to solve things that did not go smoothly on the court. This will be an interesting season!
I’m pretty pumped about Malcolm Brogdon. I think that addresses our biggest issue. We need JB to get some rest. But more importantly, during the playoffs, we might need to buy him 5 minutes in the trainers room so I mean I think this is huge when considering my hopes and dreams with this team

I still think we need another defensive minded big. If not at the beginning of the season then keep some cap space for one later in the season.
We currently have KAT, Mitch, Huk, Yabu and OG as real bigs. All except Yabu are more or less injury prone. That would be a missed opportunity to flame out just because we didn't have insurance.

You also have Diawara and Nnaji likely to be on the roster on two way or 2nd round exceptions. Both need development, but Diawara seemed pleasantly further along than I expected. Nnaji has a brutal size/strength. Huge wingspan. With Westchester moving Moses Brown, I expect him to get a lot of early season minutes down in Westchester.
Diawara probably could use a bit of GLeague time too, but he really impressed me.
If I see roster imbalance, it’s the number of 6’4 or less guards (including Hart) on the roster. It makes me believe Hart is back in the starting lineup despite Robinson being the better positional size.
If you don’t have Hart in the starting lineup, that second unit has 4 6’4 or less players Brogdon/Clarkson/Deuce/Hart/Yabu? The run and gun will be fast. The vertical spacing will be nonexistent.
These are good problems but I definitely feel like there is a significant roster move to be made to balance the roster Bigs as you mention.
