Spurs lacked poise that comes from experience. They kept composed but forced shots down the stretch.
Mikal was not having a good game and Brown managed it all very well. Mitch came up big with plays but did not do stupid things either.
Kolek just played a very well rounded came. Be great if he can get that outside shot going.
The Hero? It was OG who hit corner shots when needed and came up big with defense! Our Demon is a very very good player!!!!
I was really impressed by kolek he has really improved in the areas he needed to, to get playing time… we have a pure back up pg and he really helps with getting our team moving the ball … he is exactly who we were missing last year . You DO NOT TRADE A TALENT LIKE KOLEK …
Mitch is Mitch and you don’t trade him either … there’s not another player like him. He’s a unicorn. So happy to see the knicks get the trophy !! First Trophy I’ve ever seen the Knicks get! Now let’s get the real trophy and permanently cement this team in as the greatest Knick team since the 70’s .

YOur a broken record.
yes, SVG is annoying.
Can you explain why you keep saying "Silver hates the knicks"? Dolan and Silver don't see eye to eye because knicks don't want to share parity economics as league has moved there. For decades Dolan squandered his ecnomomc advantage on the court by starphuching.
Now, in this era the knicks are most successful in decades.
They booed Stern. They boo silver. Fans boo every commish in every major league. YOu get that right?
Now, you may have a personal opinion about Silver and are free to express it. Maybe explain it. Perhaps enlighen us why you repeat this frequently.

I'm calling this The Tyler Kolek Game
Seeing Brown put him back in the game at crunch time was unexpected, but a smart coaching decision. Our 2nd quarter was so choppy because the Spurs were pressuring from three quarters court and we were getting too late into our sets. We started pushing the pace in the second half. That, plus crashing the boards turned the game. And Tyler had something to do with that.
Glad for the kid. Always thought he'd become Brunson's backup.
Shout out to OG. He was terrific
I love a coach that adjusts to what the game shows. I will always remember Thibs bringing back Randle when he was having a stinker and Obi was balling. Never said Obi is better overall but he was better that game. This is real coaching.
Brown is doing a great job. SVG was spot on about "Trust" and when Brown needed a ball handler he put Kolek in. He earned the playing time and is rising up. Maybe no need for trade. MIkal was not up to his usual self or they were guarding him really well.
SVG now on prime is a bit too much a cheer leader. Prime also is trying to explain more nuances of the game. Stan praise of the tournament like many aspects of his call gets over the top. Ian eagle is solid. DWade is ok. he is no clyde. Seems most knick fans have issues on national games for years for good reasons. The more we win the more reaspect they have earned. We are used to more bias with Breen and Clyde. Not that they are extreme homers by any any stretch, but they are all to familiar with knicks and its more enjoyable for most of us.
Dwade struggled to praise knicks and it was awkward. Kind of funny actually. The group of Dirk, Nash, Grif and Haslem are still a bit stiff.
but.......Brunson is getting a lot of love these days and respect which is well earned as one of the leagues faces!
ANyone catch Josh sticking his thumb in to Jalens butt when they were posing with trophy? Jalen jumped. Try to catch the video!

I'll own that.My main takeaway is that I don't really want to see this team broken up to get Giannis. I LIKE this team. Great guys who play hard and can beat anyone. I think I'm good going to war with this lineup. If they could get DD without giving up too much that would only increase the fun, but some of the deals I've seen for Giannis just don't make sense.
And by all that is holy, we must keep Mitch Robinson. He is such a dominant force and I think I get more excited when he comes on the floor than anyone else. 15 rebounds in 18 minutes (10 offensive). Who DOES that?
My sentiments as well
This has been my take for a few weeks and obviolusly the better they play and win, the more this is being forged. Glad Im not alone.
Also it could cost us depth. Last night that Depth is what won the game.
As for Mitch, I get why knick did not extend him and we might very well lose him for nothing as a free agent. Its a risk we have to take. His value is not obvious and he wants to get paid. How much and where will matter. He is playing back up minutes and knicks are managing him very well. He was great down the stretch.
The Cup tournament might be how this season plays out. The team out west are formitable....SAS, OKC, Den and Rockets. All legit. For the moment, Knicks stand out as talented, deep, and experienced and could pull away in the east over the seaosn. No team succeeds unless healthy and still a long way to go yet.
The window is now for obvious reasons. Mitch is a part of that now.

All I listen to is MSG broadcast and this year on Prime I've really enjoyed Ian eagle, that dude rocks for me. He'll be the voice after Breen makes life choices.

West seems like a slugfest compared to East. Top 8: OKC, SAS, DEN, HOU, LAL, And then you still have Minny, Phoenix, GSW to round out 6-8.
That's a bruising playoff run.
Beast Mitch has impacts everywhere
Do not trade Mitch Beast!!!
Mitch may only play half the regular season games and not make too many more FT's for the rest of the season, but he is a big game hunter and playoff daemon!
So the Knicks are basically saying, that was fun but it doesn't mean anything. I'm sure the NBA loves that.
