yes, and both times it just happened to be showing up Diawara, the rookie... just weak all around. IDK what KAT's endgame is here? Is that supposed to endear you to the fans or to... ANYONE?
a 20+ pt lead late in the 4th, you should be ENCOURAGING the bench guys to get their looks, not screaming for the ball.
he wasn't even remotely open so its not like DIawara missed or misread a play. That's the kind of reaction you'd expect if KAT was wide open and being shrugged off.

I suspect the best lineup for KAT is:
KAT
Diawara (2027-2028 season’s more developed version)
Hart
Shamet
Kolek
This KAT lineup would probably have better chemistry with him. They would also probably get him the ball in his spots better than the first group. Diawara’s development is key because he is a more natural passer and ball handler than both OG and Bridges. I foresee he and Hart being able to grab offensive rebounds when KAT drifts out on the perimeter. Plus Hart can slash to the basket with KAT pulling the bigs out of the lane. Obviously Kolek has the best chemistry with KAT than all of our guards.Kolek needs to get minutes. KAT and Bridges have been the most impacted by him not being in the rotation. He has court vision that neither Brunson or Deuce does. When these guys are getting fed on offense they seem to be more locked in on defense. I know Hart is a leader on his team so we should keep starting him, but after a few minutes we need to sub in Deuce to go with the backcourt rotation I highlighted in that previous post: JB/Deuce and Kolek/Shamet. Then for the rest of the game just rotate Hart/Mikal/OG at SF/PF. And for the times that we go double bigs, we should always have Deuce or Shamet at SG.
Not sure which one of you works for the Knicks org, but thank you for showing my post to the Knicks coaching staff.
I let Mr. Rose know about your post when I delivered his order of xanax and shrooms earlier this week.
That must be better than whatever these previous idiot president/gms we’ve had were taking/smoking.

Does anyone know who that guy in the grey suit is? That’s the guy we need to get in contact with to get the truth about what was said.
Guy would be a god around NY and maybe the league.

It’s wild, I thought KAT was known as a defensive minded C at Kentucky and wasn’t a 3point shooter?
Do I have that right?

If Towns decides to do that he would be the best the league has ever seen at rebounding and passing. He just needs to cut down on those fouls and he has been doing it the last few games. Our Championship would be much closer than if he was just shooting 3's and driving into traffic, like he has been doing his whole career. He can still do that and be effective if he does the other blue collar things

All of my product is fortified with Vitamin D and CoQ10 which prevent cognitive decline among active drug abusers
Steve Mills would snort any white substance without due diligence or vetting the quality control of the provider. If you gave anything in rock form to Perry he'd be torching it up in the toilet stalls a minute later. And don't get me started on Phil Jackson. All you had to do was wear a tie-dye t-shirt and he'd buy a kilo of manure from you. He showed me photos of his "bong room" in Montana. 20 years of unregulated decadence inside the executive suites at MSG took their toll. It all started with Dolan giving up booze and acting like he was a poster child for AA when in reality his limo was pulling up to any random whore on Queens Boulevard to score a bag of today's special.
nycericanguy wrote:BlueKnickers wrote:LivingLegend wrote:BlueKnickers wrote:Diawara is going to be a beastAnyone catch Kat showing significant frustration 2times with Diawarra not giving him the ball and then near end of game Kat/Mitch having an unfriendly animated dialogue on the bench?
If I had to guess I might think Mitch was standing up to Kat for showing up Diawarra 2X or I guess it’s possible both were discussing not getting the ball BUT Kat played great & should shut down the antics.
I missed that, but I'd guess it was Mitch not being down with KAT's antics.
KAT is a drama queen. I kind of expect he has pissed off the whole roster at this point with his diva BS.
Also, he has not stopped the constant whining on every play, he's just switching over to gestures and cartoon facial expressions instead of verbalizing his infinite exasperations.
The guy is a tool. I wouldn't want to be around that kind of nonsense.
I would not be surprised if Hart loathes him.
yea I saw him demonstratively clapping at Diawara for not passing him the ball after he hit a shot. And it wasn't even like KAT was open, he just wanted the ball. felt like he was picking a the rookie b/c he would never do that to one of the vets. Really not a good look up 20 in a blowout demanding the ball from a rookie. I could see if it was a close game but in a blowout?
reminds me of a few weeks ago when KAT finally hit a shot, started flexing while we were getting blown out, and then took a fadeaway 3 falling out of bounds next possession where he kicked out his legs and got an offensive foul that killed any rally.
IDK if he's always been this way or not, but his entire demeanor is just not that of a serious player. He's a clown right now.
KAT is a tool
No way to ignore it any longer. He is a self-entitled child
If he is not traded he's going to get his ass chewed out by the men on the club if he hasn't already
You never see his kind of histrionics by great centers on championship teams. NEVER. Guys lose their cool maybe, but no elite championship caliber C whines almost every time down the court like this putz does.
Sorry, these guys were running a set and if Diawa messed it up thats what it looks like.
Some of you just looking to hate on him for all reasons.
I don't care if its a lead, Diawa has started and if need be will again and. has to make the play as expected. Thats the vets pulling these guys up.
Not to say KAT does have his moments.........but not all are bad.

Why are you defending the veteran who was being unprofessional over a 19 year old rookie?
That was A MOMENT.
KAT could have addressed it off the floor.
Instead he behaved like an entitled clown in the middle of the game trying to embarrass a teammate.
That's not leadership. That's toxic BS.

I was clear and said it was my view. Unsubstantiated look at the video with no audio you take the negative slant an ran with it. I counted with it as a non issue.
Some fans want to find anything and run with hit.
We don't knwo what goes on in practice or in the locker room. The encourangement or the criticisms. That an unheralded rookie is getting time, even some starts is telling at a lot of points. And if so starting, its a professional league and they are held to a standard. Age? If he is 19 but in the game, he is a professinal and held to a standard. If he can't take Men being that he should not be there. And your makaing assumptions its toxic,
I see a team struggling now on a 5 gams win streak and some fans acting like its a melt down.
Video of townsing wanting to talk about 10k pts with Jalen? Thats him sayign his 20 rebounds was not a big deal, but his teammate just reached a milestone is.
IM not saying all is perfect, but Im not making shit up to validate a fan frustration trying to get others onboard. If the time comes there is major discord and they can't get past it, then this fan will deal with it. Until then I see KAT getting rebounds, shutting the fuck up, and the team winning. I saw Mikal open up his diva admission. Joah can be tough on his mates also. When Kat does it he is a bitch? 100%? Sometimes yes. Even Brunson whines at times.
Thats why I defended KAT. Its not a big deal.

Perhaps you were saying the same thing when Julius Randle was moping his way through whole seasons, threatening his teammates, standing idly in the paint while teams whizzed by to make layups and aloofly standing downcourt while his team were in a huddle during a timeout.
The rhetoric about what we don't know is a meaningless tactic to deflect because you don't like what you hear or read.
The evidence mounts in front of your eyes and you don't need to know if a person has issues off the court. What matters is their behavior on the court that is increasingly detrimental to the team.
If you blurt out objections at every meeting at work you'll get fired. HR is not going to ask if you are getting a good night's sleep at home.
Likewise, fans don't need to hire a private investigator to parse out the reasons behind their behavior. Their behavior is public. Nobody needs to justify their take on that behavior because they don't have a bug planted in the locker room. That's absurd.
Lets not talk about deflecting, your doing that very thing.
Lets keep to Kat and Mo. And lets keep it real, KAT is an all NBA/All star player and Mo is a teen learning the game. Its a problem if Mo misses an assignment in a game, or pehraps keeps making the same mistake in practice (Im making an assumtion to why KAT looks like a dick)and its not awful for KAT to show his frustration. Jules did it and sometimes he was correct to do so. When Fornier in his first year here was starting and not making his cuts properly it stagnated everything. Jules should not have done some of the things he did but thats how NBA goes. Kat should not have demonstrated his frustration as he did, but to take it like he just crushed the kids career is a bit presumptuous. I get you have it in for KAT. Teams have asshole players. Josh hart? I love the dude. I think he can be a dick at times. Mitch? A fucking bone head. We all love mitch. If he and Kat are arguing then it must be his fault right? We saw Mikal struggle this year. He ran his coach out, started off great! Then he dipped. Did we know he was being an entitled diva? No, most thought he was being soft and wilting.
Im not "Defending KAT". I am tolerating him and his foibles. Why? His jersey says "NEW YORK" and im rooting for him to be better. I did the same for Jules also. Same for Mikal. Can't judge him for the draft picks whose outcome is years away. Now when the team is in win now mode.
This is not about Nalod and "see I told you I was right!".......Odds are the knicks don't win a chip and dudes like you get to boast "Told you we can't win with KAT!". The odds were never there anyway. Being a favorite means you have a better chance. Thats all. Not like this team was in dynasty mode and Kat ruined it all. Fact is he has elevated his game when he got here. Not to MVP levels. You did notice we got to conf. finals last year, right? Yes, Mitch was valuable. He was not in top form last year. This year he is minutes restricted and so far so good.
Mitch cannot be in a situation where he is asked to make free throws to seal a game. Its who he is. If one wants to hate/blame him we can always do the "Silly man with this silly videos and he does not care about making them but more about this truck and cryptic tweets......"
Team is back on track and winning. Not like KAT is out getting arrested or beating up his girl. He is whiney dude who is trying to contain it.
I apprecite the effort, the rebounds, and yes he gets hacked and should be more chill for it.
We got a long way to go. We were losing to bad teams we are now pounding. That was a good quality win last night, again vs Toronto on a back to back, and vs Philly the last week or so.

We can win with KAT if he contributes effectively on defense every night.
I will give him the leeway to surprise me because odds are he will still be a Knick after the trade deadline and I'd prefer he does what it takes to win.
I think the odds of KAT doing that with consistency are low, but it is up to him, not us.

Ok, we getting it together.
I don't disagree with everything you say. Its the degree and expectations.
"Consistancy" is a tough thing to meaure. No player is consistent to 100%. IM sure we can all agree on that.
He is consistant enough to be recognized by coaches and peers as an allstar. Consistant enough to avg 20 and 12 rebs. not his best, but he out there playing and not injured since a knick. He is a consistant complainer but he is trying.
Knicks are back over .600.
second year with this roster, new coach.
Would I flip KAT for Giannis one for one if offered? I would. But thats likely not on the table. So whats the price then? Who can we live without, and then can Giannis fit in "Seamlessly" not just as a talent upgrade, but chemistry on the court? Few trades inseason accomplish that. Thats a big move. Start adding more players to the mix and its not easier. I hope Giannis sticks it out for the rest of the seaosn and lets see how the rest of this year goes.
Im consistantly on the fence consistanty wallowing in the complexity of roster construction and consistantly trying to temper my emotions.
