That hurts...damn.
Thanks for the rebounds.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass, and get off of social media.
Good luck and good health.
This is not awesome.
They need to pivot quick and hopefully it’s not Looney.
Gut punch for it to be the Celtics.
Wow. Anywhere but Boston.

Thanks for the memories Mitch.
Brad Stevens with some Sun Tzu shit. Breaking an enemy from within.
Yikes, gonna have to trade Deuce and or Dadiet for someone like Kalkbreene now
Love Mitch. Hope they unlock the best of him.

He's a fcking leprechaun now?
Geezus
This is worse than when Ray Allen went to MIA. I'm not sure who to be mad at because that is a more than reasonable contract. Knicks should've matched it and dumped Deuce to ease some of the hit financially; especially with us bringing back Alvarado, Shamet, Kolek and likely Clarkson.
In any case, with Towns set to renegotiate a more favorable deal, we could've stayed in the 2nd apron for a season or two until things stabilized. Only thing I can think of for keeping Mitch is that there is something wrong with him physically that could render him another Morning's. If not, this was a blunder especially losing Hukpourti as well
I was on the "its ok to let Mitch walk" but I was hoping he would "walk" over to a Western Conf team, lol.
If he starts hitting his FT next year, I'm gonna be PISSED!

Yeah that’s not gonna happen.
I mean listen it hurts, but we got his best years. He's getting bigger and slower and his FT's have gotten so much worse. Time to pivot. We have Deuce and Dadiet plus a ton of 2nd rounders we can trade.

Wait. Do we get to Hack a Mitch now?
Bummer. Makes sense for Mitch, he gets to stay in the North East and won’t have to sell his farm. 45M is a lot of cheese for a dinosaur but he was our dinosaur and we all loved him
What makes it even more painful is that it's the Celtics! Only the cHeat or Hicks would have been worse! But can't fault a guy for wanting to take care of his family.
Will forever be grateful for that key offensive rebound that sealed our championship and all the other countless offensive rebounds. How about that defense he played against Boston in the playoffs where he sprinted cross court on Tatum? Or how he manhandled Cleveland in the playoffs!? 8 years on the same team is uncommon and watching Mitch become the best offensive rebounder in the league and go from a 16 win team to a NBA Champion was a pleasure.
Wish I could say I wish him the best basketball wise cause he's the enemy now but I do wish him the best of health for him and his loved ones. He'll always be a Knick and he should definitely get a standing ovation when he comes back.
I wish he had gone to the Lakers or something though I will say. Mitch was a huge impact guy but he might be one of those guys thats better to let go of a year early than a year too late. He was getting noticeably bigger and was winded and gasping for air even just playing 20 minutes sometimes. And the FT's getting worse and worse.
I have faith we'll get a good replacement.
