btw, i have no idea if the yanks are gonna win this series or not.
wang has been struggling lately, as has pettite. clemens hasn't pitched in a while and moose is doo doo.
arod is an awesome player - he's basically a very good guess hitter. he can be stopped in a short series.
and who's knows about mariano. it's tough to be confident in this team so i'm going 50/50 right now on whether they win or not.

our offense trumps theirs by a mile... but the pitching questions are legit... Sabathia has never had any success pitching against us (1-7 career), but we haven't faced him in 4 years & he's a much improved pitcher now... this team hasn't hit lefty pitching on the road all season, so that's a worry... the bullpens are about equal in terms of depth, but we have Joba & Mo & they don't... i'm gonna say we take this series in 4 games, but it won't be an easy 4 games.
WTF? Why are the games on at 5 or 6PM every night? Is this a joke?
that's seriously whack scheduling.

Seriously, who's the idiot who scheduled these games?

No wonder they hired that obnoxious drummer guy. I really hope the Yanks beat them in 4 games and not 5, b/c I don't think I can take listening to that for 3 games.
chien-ming has gotta bring his A game for game 1 b/c i think sabathia is gonna be tough. we need quality starts from every pitcher this series, and wang has been so up and down.
i think yanks take it in 4 (losing game 3 at home).
i think we lose game 2 & take the rest... i see Wang pitching a gem Thurs. night & outpitching Sabathia in a classic pitcher's duel... i'm a little shaky on Andy P's performances of late, so game 2 is iffy for me... & i think the offense will carry the day at YS in games 3 & 4.
YANKS in 4!

I say the Yankees lose s nailbiter in game 1 and then take the next 3.
Yankees in 4
wang is not the same pitcher on the road.
clemens hasn't pitched in a month.
i trust pettitte more than the chinaman.

Ugh
And Wang is Taiwanese, not Chinese. But I guess we're all the same to you.

Back to baseball, I think it's going to be very important for Damon and Jeter to get on base and run on Martinez. I think they'll be looking to pitch around ARod to keep him from beating them so Abreu and whoever hits 5th (Matsui, Giambi or Posada) will be seeing a lot of good pitches to hit with men on.
Abreu, ARod and Cabrera should also look to steal on Martinez every chance they get. He's a liability behind the plate for the Indians and they need to abuse him.
The TV announcers talk trash in New England. During an analysis of the Red Sox chances in the playoffs, a reporter said, "Let's discuss which players we can least afford to have pull an A-Rod" (great regular season and bad post-season)

It's amazing how tough they are now with their one fluke championship in 90 years.

You mean that the Yankees were involved in all of them?
(Yes, it's wiseass day)
well then i guess i hope the loss comes in game 1 against sabathia. taht would make the most sense given how the yanks haven't seen sabathia in a while and they don't hit lefties well.
i trust pettitte to rebound in game 2 and then the bronx to carry us to victory.
3-1 yanks HYD
