2nd time in a week vs. the red sox.
what was so unimpresive about his first start against them? 7innings, 7Ks 2ER and 8 baserunners.
it was the 2nd time in a week vs. the same team so there was a good chance he was going to get roughed up the 2nd time around.

I guess it's a good thing that Hughes is alive at least...

even though he got roughed up, bats gave him run support and we were still up when he came out of the game past night. i expect a club like boston to hit much better when facing him (or any othr pitcher for that matter)twice in that short a span....only guy that is exempt from that is MO because, he is greater than the great lakes....

my bad dj, i misinterpreted what you were saying. i thought you were saying 2 times in one week he was unimpressive.
Going to the game tonight and am psyched that these games against TB have a lot of meaning. Let's hope AJ can go 7-8 strong or even through a CG, cause our bullpen looks a bit shaky and Mo could use a night off. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!!
Nalod and Nalodians are heading to stadium tommorow nite.
I have not been to a game in NY in 25 years.....Saw the Yanks a few times in Texas, Baltimore and some national league games in the ATL.
We get the pleasure of seeing the great HOF to be Andy Pettite!

walk around the stadium - it is truly a coliseum.
and the garlic fries are awesome (but only in moderation for you nalod). imho, the best seats in the house are the right field bleachers, sections 204, 203 and 202.
have fun.

If you sit in the bleachers, get as far from center field as possible, b/c that whole area in the middle that has the restaurants and stuff on top is a huge view block.
make sure you got to the ATM b/c it ain't cheap. I spent well over $100 on beer duing the cinco de mayo game. Me gusta coronas. Y tu?

i absolutely agree with dj on both the garlic fries and the seats in the right field bleachers.
enjoy the game nalod, it truly is a stadium unlike no other.
i still like the Old Stadium better

well of course man, but i think it's just nostalgia that'll eventually wear off. the new stadium is just a thing of beauty.
Good advice, actually got tix the other day. 3rd row section 105. Stub hub saved me big bucks.
Going early and take in the sites. Never been to Monument park either. I'll get some garlic fries for the boy and steal a few!
Just hoping for a good game. Better for Yanks to win, but good game is a good game!!!

not really... the new stadium is fancy shmancy but feels sterile to me... everywhere you look it's sensory overload with billboards, signs, flashing banners of different ads... the stadium is distracting to the action going on on the field... at the old place, as soon as you walked into the place it felt like the field was the main stage & the show was about to begin... i don't get the same kind of feeling when i walk into the new place... it's a great stadium but the character is gone IMO... the bright green grass contrasted to the bright royal blue fences at the old place, the organ playing in the background, the bright lights on the immaculate field... there will never ever be anything like the old stadium.
Jorge on the shelf for a month... i say bring up Jesus & let him get his feet wet.

Funny, just had the same conversation last night at the stadium with my buddies during the ass kicking we received. I agree 100% w/ TMS and still wonder why we really needed a new stadium (I know why and understand the business rationale, but..). For a fan like me who doesn't get to enjoy the premium experience and still sits upstairs or in the bleachers, the new stadium doesn't provide me with much satisfaction. The new stadium is aesthetically less pleasing to me and looks monotone. Besides the big ass TV in HD (which is sick) I find it hard to find the game data I want easily and find myself missing the old stadium a lot. It is eerie seeing a big dirt patch where the old place used to be. It is what it is though, so we better get used to it.
Our bullpen looks like $hit right now.
yeah the big ass HD tv in the OF is the only feature i really like (also more bathrooms)... they flashed my little nephew up there in between innings on the fancam, that was the highlight of my new YS experience.

LMAO the last time i sat in the Bleaches (2005) It seems as if everyone knew each other up there... they were all singing YMCA by the village people, pointing at 2 nerdy guys and changing the words to....yyyyy.. r... u.. gay..... the entire section im telling you. MY GOD how i ever sat straight up for 3 hrs is anybody's guess...How are the bleachers in the new stadium.
bad outings by AJB & Andy have us in a mini-losing streak... Javy V slated to start tomorrow vs. the Muts... ewwww.

I still like the Old Stadium more too, obviously. This new one is an obvious attempt to just rake us for even more money. Hey, but at least we can get Garlic Fries!!!!
I sat in the bleachers last night, section 201. They are good, behind the bullpen, but some obstructed views once u get high up. If you sit in the last row you can't see any of LF or CF. There are TVs on the wall but, come on, dont obstruct my goddamn view. Ridiculous.
